That's true, so hopefully the cost is not much. Dickerson is not exactly know for his glove either. Only good glove RF out there is Calhoun, but he's old. I guess if you're going to roll the dice on someone, might as be a young guy?

That's not horrible. At least it's better than last year ?‍♂️? Sox must really be hoping for a buy-low move, or this doesn't make any sense.

 

I don’t mind him if you’re spending money on quality pitching. He has more potential than any of the outfielders in the system besides Robert.

We have this player Mazara in our minor league system already, why trade for him. Over 100 plus ks and 30 bb every season, this is an easy player to find.

I don't mind it. I like Mazara. Still young and has untapped potential. 

Hopefully it doesn't cost too much. If they can get away with an OF swap for Rutherford/Gonzalez I'm fine with it. 

I know that he only has 2 years of control left, but it's not like there are better options.

I dont see the Rangers trading Mazara for a low level prospect. They are trying to compete next season no? New stadium too.

The White Sox own MLB.com reporter Scott Merkin is also reporting this travesty.

Mazara just can't have that much trade value IMO.  The potential may cause someone to pay more than the fWAR would indicate, but at some point, you're just not valuable.  

I think this happens 100% the usual reporters are saying it’s happening

Yeah, me too. As long as it doesn't cost one of Dunning/Stiever/ Matt Thompson/Dalquist I'm fine. Those are the guys I'm freaked out about them trading in a deal like this.

How do you look at our RF situation and then look at Mazara and see a fix?

Are there any pitchers the Rangers have the Sox could also be after? We heard rumors about them looking for both in a deal. Maybe there is more to this than just Mazara?

This is exactly the kind of deal we should expect. Hahn and company have shown they either won’t or can’t land top talent. The result is continuing to collect blah players. Keep the fans just happy enough to think there’s a chance of hope one day. SSDD.
