It may not happen, but I am tired of talking about Mazara. Let's get some fresh conversation going as we wait for (possibly) more action. If you had to guess, what trade proposal do the Sox have on the table?

Something with Boston regarding Price is my guess. Maybe Mazara will be flipped again.

Price would be my guess as well.  I doubt it is Mazara being flipped.

I don't get how Price would fit the concern of accelerating the process though. He shouldn't really cost much in assets. This seems to imply the Sox would be giving something back that was a part of the future.

Based on the quotes, I feel like its a move of consequence. I feel like a team has asked for a top prospect for a pitcher. Maybe something built around Madrigal and Vaughn for Snell.

If the Sox take on Price, they would probably want Benintendi as well, so Mazara could be flipped to Boston. Or maybe it’s a Price/JD combo.

A Price/Benintendi acquisition would make me stomach the Mazara trade, if he is staying, which I assume he is regardless.

I agree, maybe the Sox are trying to get another quality player out of the deal because the price tag is a little high. 

Really hope we don't give up another prospect this week

I'd eat cash for Price and throw in some fillers

I wouldn’t give a well used ball bag for Price.

This type of thing you hear every year, especially if you go to Soxfest. The trade was being considered, it it went through it would have been huge, would have changed the franchise forever, but the other team backed out last minute after their ownership wouldn't sign off.

If they were truly trying to get Snell, what do you really think it would take?

Pretty minimal interest in Price unless Red Sox are eating half the deal.  Whole Benintendi role in that deal seems far less likely now with Mazara around.

The Winter Meetings would be so amazing if all trade proposals were required to be made public at the time made.  Discussions/arguments would be crazy and entertaining as hell.

I doubt anything will come of this... but maybe I'm wrong.  So many proposals are made, i'd assume only about 5% of them come to fruition.
