Nice thing about colome is you have plenty of time to watch your kids grow up between pitches.

Oregon State second baseman Nick Madrigal is expected to miss three-to-six weeks with a hairline fracture in his hand....

from back in 2018

Wouldn't it help that he was wearing a brace?

He gone!

That’s what it looked like to me based on the impact, but the way he reacted and held up his arm as he walked into the dugout gives me some cause for concern.

Reason I think its a break is because he's broken it before.

I broke my wrist on that same exact play in high school.  Was out 4-6 weeks.

Seriously?  You're a quick healer.  I broke my leg and was out 6 months.

Giolito's fastball has so much carry that it's actually still effective at 92-93, which is amazing.

I’m no doctor but the fact that he was moving his fingers with no issue hopeful for non-break? Also possible that makes 0 sense but I’m trying to be positive

I had full range of motion with my fingers, I just couldn’t turn my wrist inwards. It’s actually scary the deja vu I get from the replay.

Grandal, Eloy, EE, Mazara - Let’s score some fucking runs!!

How were you out 4-6 weeks?

The White Sox have been incredibly resilient so far in the face of all these injuries....gotta give them credit for not folding up their tents.

There's just too much offensive talent on this team, and the addition of a World Series starter in Keuchel as well as Grandal/Encarnacion/Mazara has changed the make-up of this team from developing to "win now."

And sure as hell looks like he told Capra he broke it

I'm a bit worried about Giolito. Velo is still way down. It's not as bad as Rodon but still concerning.

2 mph from start to start is not way down.

No surgery required

Has Giolito been strictly throwing fastballs and changeups this year? I recall him using a slider last year too.

That’s totally fair.

HAIRLINE FRACTURE.   Of the hand.   That's a big difference compared to the wrist, especially from a hitting standpoint.

We're White Sox fans. We're not allowed to have nice things.

buck up still plenty of talent to win and Madrigal isn't out for the year yet.

Is this a prediction from you, or did you read that this is the report?

Just looking at Capra’s reaction, I have a hard time calling out the trainer if he said “I jammed my wrist”
