How do you not throw him a heater there?

Morrison definitely looked to have a slow/slider speed at-bat.

Nomar Mazara flashing the leather.   Ranged a LONG way to RCF, Robert wasn't going to get there without diving all out for it.

Nice thing about colome is you have plenty of time to watch your kids grow up between pitches.

Ben Gamel Sox killer

That was really a great catch in RF. Wow. But he's getting roped this inning, 2-0.

FUCK

Fuck this game!!!

Dammit.

And this is where being a 2 pitch pitcher bites you. They’re just sitting on that pitch.

2 mistakes.  2 hard hit balls.

2-0 MKE

Hey the last 2 change ups have gotten smoked...let’s throw a 3rd straight

Can't keep throwing the same pitch over and over

So it's concerning that Giolito has become a 2 pitch pitcher, right? He's thrown 3 breaking balls today, 30 change ups and 35 fastballs. I don't see how that's sustainable. He did the same thing his first 2 starts as well.

And now it’s come back to fuck us.

Change up hammered

Gamel's one of those pesky hitters who always seems to come up with the clutch hits.

Oh, well.

White Sox have had so many opportunities tonight, especially that inning where Madrigal/Robert should have been 1st and 2nd with the heart of the line-up coming up.

He has no zip on that fastball and the change up is floating right down the plate.

Only the fifth inning. Can Sox bats do what the bats normally do?

Nasty breaking ball that he refuses to throw. Makes no sense. That was #4? Should be at least 10.

They have had opportunities. Nick had to know the situation. Still enough at bats left.

No feel for it unless you throw it more than a handful of times per game.  (See Cease, Dylan.)

1 hit, 0 runs and 5 K’s before this inning. Maybe those things aren’t true and he just threw 3 bad pitches?

Both of his breakers are nasty. I think he should pick one and just throw it.

It may require Woodruff to come out but he's keeping his pitch count relatively low

I still think we will win tonight. Just get to the bullpen. I know they have a good one, but we will win! Confidence!

Is Mazara good enough to be the Jermaine Dye of this world championship contending group? If indeed it is a solid contender for this year and years to come? A guy that comes in and excels?

Did you watch him at all last year? This is par for the course for him. He'd throw 10 breaking balls max per start.

Do you just make stuff up?  He threw his slider & curveball ~19% of the time last year and given that he averaged ~100 pitches per start he averaged about 19 breaking balls a start.
