  • Lets pull a Miggy and throw him in RF.

  • I assume you have some inside info here. I'd put Moncada + Kopech in a similar category as Vaughn + Kopech, and that got Chris Sale, not a 34 year old with 1 year left on his deal.

Wow. If you can play Eloy in left and Vaughn in right, Robert is league MVP on defense regardless of what he hits.

I don’t see it happening this season

Maybe I'm a meatball, but does a dude that's never hit above A ball need to be inserted into the 3 hole right away?

Exactly. Look at Robert. Has he yet hit 3rd through 6th I'm the order ? If so,  not much.

Has he been informed that the Sox didn't trade anyone at the deadline  ?

He won't even let people roast him for this stupid ass tweet.

I was wondering about this.  Typically it is August 31st, so they must have adjusted it for this season.

I hadn't seen it yet.

"please do not approach your neighbor's house for candy during a pandemic without appropriate safety gear. Thank you for your time."

But he was right AGAIN. His accuracy lately is crazy impressive.

That's because he's not Steve Cishek

EE has hit a bit better recently. Not great but a 114 wrc+ the last two weeks is at least playable and lowers the chance of vaughn getting called up (at this point I think you can't expect much more than a 110 wrc+ from vaughn who only has played intrasquad games the last months).

I don’t think Vaughn was ever going to replace EE anyway. If they pulled the trigger, I think they’d stick him in RF.

The pitchers would probably go on a strike then. You could put vaughn in right 1 or 2 games as a fill in but having Vaughn AND eloy in the OF every day would be terrible.

Vaughn will not be called up this year so what would be the plan next year?

I would prefer them sending him straight to AA to start next season and if he does well call him up after a month.

Starting him on opening day makes no sense at all because then you should have called him up already as it is the same service time.

Sign him to an extension and let him DH (with some 1B) from day one.

Why AA and not AAA?  I think he’ll be up by May 1st and I could see a Collins / Mercedes platoon at DH until then.

That would work too!!

We still have until September 15 for a call up, folks.

After the mess that is this year I’d also like to give the guy some time against minor leaguers in real game action and the call him up when earned. What level? Decide based on Spring Training.

I would really hope they don’t spend additional money at the DH position In the off-season. Other things way more important.

How many rookies have been called up to the majors to be a team's  full time DH ?   I'm  not saying it would be unprecedented, I'm just asking.

Leave him down.

Next year too.

Extend McCann to a two year deal and let Vaughn be in the next wave with Kopech in 2022.
