Seriously, for unlawful carnal knowledge fangraphs. Bottom line is David Stearns and Farhan Zaidi have winning records and playoff success as General Managers, and Rick Hahn has one of the worst

What are we doing?

RHP with good breaking pitches is a bad fit for this righty dominant lineup

I’ll have to see some film of it; don’t remember being impressed with his command last year and didn’t watch his start/starts in spring unless I forgot lol. Am I wrong or was his curve more of a classic 12-6 in the past that evolved into a slightly weirder motion (“knuckle-curve”) this year? Or was it always like that?

Solid first three innings regardless. Still, I wish he had first pitch strikes more often and hung fewer sliders. The Pirates are so bad lol.

Take a look at Harold's post right below yours. Some good curveballs in that compilation. A lot of them are in this article as well.

EE works a walk

Good check.  That’s a bad swing in the past

blown away by 92 down the plate

Robert battled in that AB at least

Like I said yesterday, Robert has been off lately vs fastballs. A month ago it was evident that throwing him one was asking for issues, but that was 92 down the middle

Great Robert AB until he got beat on a 92 mph middle middle heater lol

Robert having issues with fast balls down the middle the last few games.

Had 3 pitches that if he’s going good, he destroys.  Not a bad at bat though.

92 right down the pipe, if he didnt try to hit it to Mars he probably would have got a piece

He’s seen so many sliders that it seems he’s looking for the slider instead of feasting on fastball

He Gone

It seems like if we face any right handed pitcher with a slider, we have issues.

I hate his tempo so much.  He has to speed up his delivery.  He's coming thru too fast and spinning off.  He's never going to improve his command with this delivery.

He didn’t chase any sliders low and away.  Got beat in the zone yes, but laying off outside is a good step.

That’s their kryptonite.

8 straight retired for Cease.

The struggles of Yoan and Mazara have also hurt the offense against RHP, as they were supposed to be big factors.

Musgrove done

A left handed hitter in RF would work wonders for this team. Here's to dreaming that the Mets sell Nimmo next year

Musgrove out.
