I listen a lot on the radio but streaming online. Does Lucas always sweat this much? It's cold out tonight.

  • I am someone who welcomes hot takes, and I think the whole purpose of the game thread is venting and hot  takes.  But the best part of hot takes is pointing out how stupid they were and ho boy di

This inning is where I really wish Giolito had a better curve

FUCK

Giolito always does this to himself. There wasn't a single hard hit ball that inning until that.

And that’s likely the ball game. Absolutely terrible pitch selection to someone who had no chance against the change

blah, turning this one off, maybe they will find a pulse.

110+ pitches for a regular season game? Seems reckless af for nothing

Better not get swept this weekend. Up only 4 on Tigers with the Sox pitching issues and remaining schedule could get scary.

Dang it.  Bats definitely need to wake up.

I disagree. I think if they threw him another change it ends up out of the ballpark.

Bye Felicia x2

IF Gio wants to be Elite he must get better control.

You can ignore it.  Just saying.

Not a good sign with Sox ace struggling tonight

He absolutely crushed the one they threw him.

It's for development. If you can't test a pitcher in games like these, you can't try for the first time when games really count.

That was Ozzie's best attribute as a manager, making his players stay out there for one more consistently, have them test themselves. The staff was ready in the Postseason.

Hopefully Lucas will learn from the outing, primarily the second inning when he was trying to be too fine with his pitches. The control left at the end when he was tired, but the second inning lead to running out of gas before closing out six.

He just has innings where his control completely abandons him and he just pitches himself into trouble more often than not.

He’s never seen a change up like Giolito’s in the minors. You’re just doing a young guy a favor throwing the fastball there.

That's just the way he is. I don't agree by the way.

I didn't know Daz was Mike Cameron's son. Pretty cool.

Pitiful

What can he possibly develop from facing this crappy Tigers lineup for 115+ pitches? In the playoffs he won’t need to throw that much as his hook will be much faster. I’d rather save his arm for then.

I can. I chose not to. And I'm going to call it out when I see it. Just saying.

What does it matter? That's just the way he is .

I don't like to second guess, but after the sac fly...gotta go pen, right?

Mize has been out awhile.  Keep this at 3-0 and have some patient at bats against the kid.

Long time for Mize to be sitting cold in the bench. Don't be surprised if Sox get to him in the bottom of the 6th
