It could be worse. You could be a White Sox fan watching a team in the beginning stages of completely squandering a window because ownership is too chicken shit to take a risk to win a championship. A

You're right. Adding Darvish and Snell doesn't move the needle much.

I would have like Tony Wolters as a potential backup C on a minor league deal. Career 31% caught stealing, regularly grades out as an above average to excellent pitch framer, according to MLBTR.

Clutch hitter in Wild Card :)

Sox getting some national recognition right off the bat.

Opening Day game against the Angels will be on ESPN.

The first Sunday Night Baseball game will be the Sox and Angels as well.

And then obviously the Field of Dreams game against the Yanks.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Sox get added to more national games as the season progresses, given they remain competitive.

I like having the season start on the West Coast, only having to travel from AZ instead of from Chicago.

Yeah it's also kind of nice knocking out some of those later games early in the season.

I like this part of it. Now we don't have to deal with games starting super late in like August. Just get it over with. Plus the benefit of the weather will be beautiful and pretty much gauranteed no postponements for at least the first week while they're out west.

In April the only team we play that is actually trying to make the playoffs is the Angels. The other teams are Tigers, Royals, Rangers, Indians, Mariners, Red Sox.

We will need to start off strong against these weak teams.

Get a test of our actual abilities right out of the gate. I like it. Hopefully we won't be bitching heavily less than a month in, lol.

True but also liking the Lucroy signing more & more!  If he's fully recovered, he could have a solid impact.

Seems like more teams are choosing to start at 6:10 or 6:40 for weekday games, Wish the Sox would have done that too. Stickin' with 7:10.

Finally, Mazara does something that will help the White Sox win baseball games.

I wish it too, especially with me being on the eastern time zone

Man, we might really just go into the season as-is, huh? Wake me up when Pax signs somewhere.

Super glad the Cards got Arenado but losing Fowler and Miller will suck on that front.
