I missed the whole interview but TLR mentioned how the new reliever will usually come in after 1 hitter in an inning. He and Katz decided that with the new reliever rules it was an advantage. So we'll usually see pitchers catty over to 1 hitter in an inning.

Why is it an advantage? This only makes sense if the logic is you have a lefty specialist in the pen, you can get 1 out and he only has to get 2.

Those guys don't exist really and I don't understand how it's an advantage.

Time for Hahn to go all "moneyball" and just DFA Nick Williams and Jake Lamb.  "Sorry, Tony, you can't start those guys tonight....they're no longer on the team"

Well that approach has been awful so far this year

The arm side run on that change is just outrageous. Marshall looks back to his 2020 self.

He Gone

Gamel wasn't even close on those changeups

Looks like Evan brought the good stuff tonight

This must be one of those things he wants to change with how managers do things these days.  He really is an egomaniac.

1 more EM lets get it

Have a series Marshall!

awesome!

That was really great work.

It worked out. Now, to waste 8 pitches against Bieber, and go back out on defense.

Yaz!

Inning Over!

Marshall finally found his change up.

How awesome would this game be with a packed house? Might because I’m so used to no fans, but this almost has a late season/ playoff feel to it with the crowd energy

Classic pitchers' duel...couldn't have possibly predicted this one, looking at the starting line-ups.

What a game!

Marshall nasty the last 2 nights!
