  • TLR must have seen that "Is Leury's time almost up" thread and wanted to reassure that he's definitely here to stay.

  • It really shouldn't be the catcher's job to frame clear strikes.

  • At what point do we stop scoreboard watching a team trailing by 14 games?

Fuck HAASE

Time to get the bullpen up now

Goodwin might have caught that

I don't think Rodon was gonna throw a no hitter with his pitch count anyways. Now he's just gotta try to get through 7.

Heartbreaker Haase...has bedeviled us all season.   Great effort, Vaughn just lacked the top speed to get there, and the homeplate umpire as well to make some calls.

That wasn't the umpires fault. Collins didn't catch that ball clean and made it seem like it was a ball.

Screw that ump man

That was on Collins as much as it was on the umpire

charge the run to the umpire

False. Totally umps fault. You try catching that nasty slider.

Plus the guy is throwing a no hitter. He should get the border line calls

Probably not, just terrible to lose it that way.  Ump was having a good day until that horrible call.

this is such a bad take, it wasnt badly framed for one, and two you shouldnt have to frame shit on a ball that catches the whole zone.

La Russa is probably feeling some relief after the hit. And no, it has nothing to do with La Russa. Any manager.

Would have been nice, but better for Rodon and team for him to get through seven and rest for the next one.

Great day for Rodon, nice to see Collins develop such a bond with two of the Sox best three pitchers this season. Grandal's ST injury was a blessing in that regard,

In the end, we didn’t need to push Rodon to 110-115 pitches at 98-99 mph.  Blessing in disguise, probably.

There's a reason framing factors into this as a catcher. When you bobble a clean pitch it's going to cause a distraction.

You shouldn’t, but you have to.

at least we wont see Rodon throw 130 pitches today

Inning Over.

Standing Ovation Los!

Well Done, Carlos !!!

Carlos definitely wasn't as sharp that inning, even before the double.

Amazing start though.

Hell of an outing from Carlos

Sucks to lose the no hitter that way, but I agree with this take.
