I thought Lucas got him on the check swing 2 pitches earlier. Good thing we got that 7th run.

  • Not sure but I assume you'll find something wrong with it

  • Just imagine bringing in Marshall to face a righty when they have an OPS near 1.000 off him.

Tony has left the dugout to yell at Yermin. Not once to have his player’s back.

I guess asking for a clean inning from Gio after Sox big innings is out of the question

Put Wendle away with those low changes and hit the showers, Lucas

Bullpen logged a lot of innings last two days and no off day tomorrow so Rays may be calling this one a lost cause and having Yarbrough just eat it today.

there's a fun discussion we should have on how the "smart teams" like the brewers have started to shift away from the "smrt baseball twitter" preference of throwing best pitcher at high leverage situation and toward ensuring closing higher certainty winning outcomes that mimic a lot more traditional bullpen roles of closer, etc.

6 IP, 3 R... I'll take a QS from Gio.

this series has been pretty damn encouraging, even if we completely blow this game. tampa has the best record in baseball and we will likely take the series and made them look outclassed more than the other way around, even while trotting out a lineup that is uncomfortably Knights-like

Well now we know had we just given the knights some pitching we could have gotten them a championship.

2 Ks on the curve that inning. @fathom He's trying to establish a 4th pitch haha

I think we shift on lefties a lot, but not on pull oriented righties. And that has cost us a few hits.

And we see more pull happy righties so it seems more skewed.

Our #5 delivers a QS, all we can ask for.

Yeah, with analytics being as advanced as they are, teams ought to be able to calculate how much they improve today's win probability by using one of their best relievers, and also how much the decrease tomorrow's win probability by not having him available.

Too bad the white sox cant beat good teams!

Our starting pitching is better than their's...Lance didn't have his best stuff or else we'd be looking at a chance to sweep them today.

People who rip giolito endlessly need their brains examined.

6inn and 3 runs against the best team in the AL? Great start.

Some people are only happy with no-hitters...

Here comes the implosion.

The last time he came into a 7-3 game in the 7th he loaded the bases and got nobody out.

I wish he'd go inside corner more with that sinker against RHB, when he tries to go outside it drifts to the middle of the plate.

does he jump in front of Keuchel ?

He's averaging 5 innings and 2 ER every time out. And he's somehow our worst starter by ERA.
