The changes to the ball and the enforcement of sticky stuff, and the injury to Kopech has this bordering on a failed rebuild at this point.  If Moncada has no power without the super ball and Gio

  • She'll be single if she ever mutters those words

  • What an absolute abomination of a 2 strike pitch. Not getting that extension signed, looks better and better.

That's the best Ruiz has looked in a while.

His HR/FB rate was 6th worst in MLB coming into today.

Yeah he's been a bit unlucky on some wall scrappers. I remember the Royals got 2 off him that had a combined xBA under .300.

He is healthy and hitting 100 on his fastball. He is a lock

Pitched 120 IP in 2018 and 165 in 2016. Those are the only 2 times he's pitched over 100 innings. He's at 84 now without building up any arm strength for the last 2 years. I hope you're right but a lock ? That's pushing it unless his innings find a way to be limited by a bunch in the 2nd half.

I realize these last 2 games have been bad, but we're also without our 2 best hitters in Yaz and Yoan. At worst we're 5 games up on the Indians at the end of the day. Go enjoy this 4th of July!

Wish we could sticky posts. Sox just gave us no excuse to not enjoy the 4th doing something else lol

He has also had the bad luck to be pitching during day games with the wind blowing out at GRF.

5th Sox K since the 4th?  Did I hear that right?

Tigers are winning because they have been more clutch with men in scoring position than the Sox.

Pretty much the difference in being the home team vs the away team when the Sox lineup has 3 regular starters in it and 1 is Eaton.

Astros up 3-2 in the 7th.  Hopefully, the Sox remain 6 games up after today.

At this point I'll take any type of XBH from Anderson. Every swing looks weak as hell & it feels like every time he hits the ball it's on the ground

Another MEH game from the supposed ace.

The closest to ace quality currently is Lynn.

Hopefully, the next ownership group will go out and get a real one.

His 2 doubles yesterday gave me some hope but today has been more of the same.

"Lucas Giolito...worst pitcher in baseball. 2018. But he had something you couldn't see in the stats."

Yeah the doubles are few & far between and I truly cannot recall his last homer

This SP is going to regress hard in the second half. Really good the offense can step up.

1-9 RISP.  8 LOB.

Maybe he needs to stop hot doggin so much and focus on hitting and playing

Has he really been "hot doggin" this season?

He needs to be more like Mendick: suck, but wear his socks high so he looks like a ball player.

The lack of starting position players are significant, but so are the runs allowed the past few weeks.

  • Houston 10, 2, 7, 8
  • Pittsburgh 6, 3
  • Seattle 9, 3, 5
  • Minnesota 6, 3, 5
  • Detroit 2, 11, 6 (Bottom 7th)

He's always a hot dog. Great player don't get me wrong. But you need to put up to hot dog like you do

I think Ruiz is fine. They were likely going to pull him soon regardless.

Indians tied it up
