Did we.........did we just PH Danny Mendick for Gavin Sheets?

Sure did. TLR is obsessive on hitting righty’s against lefty’s no matter what.  Sheets is on a roll and have to go with him regardless when we need a long ball as well.

The changes to the ball and the enforcement of sticky stuff, and the injury to Kopech has this bordering on a failed rebuild at this point.  If Moncada has no power without the super ball and Gio

  • She'll be single if she ever mutters those words

  • What an absolute abomination of a 2 strike pitch. Not getting that extension signed, looks better and better.

PH for the wrong guy, don't PH for Goodwin? Tony...what the actual fuck?

I have to presume that Grandal couldn’t go for Goodwin. TLR has not been good but could he be that bad?

Dusty is tough.

Suck it still, Twins.

Lefties have to be lucky against that guy, but he will walk you if you let him. Goodwin didn’t let him.

Have to be willing to stand there and do nothing. That's pretty hard to do even when every cell in your brain is telling you he just came up and in so now he's going low and away with a slider which usually aren't strikes.  Then if he throws the fastball right down the middle you get the WTF why did he just stand there ? And since it was a 2-2  count even if you hold up then you have to do it again.

He's always a hot dog. Great player don't get me wrong. But you need to put up to hot dog like you do

He has a silver slugger and a batting title in back to back seasons as well as back to back playoff seasons once this one is done. How is that not "putting up?"

Pinch hit Hamilton for Collins to lead off the inning Collins. Probably decided not to risk Grandal running the bases with a calf injury if he took a walk or got a hit. Plus if the Sox did tie it up with or without him PH he'd have to catch too.

What has he done this year to hot dog? He isn't saying much. He isn't watching homers or bat flipping. Give me evidence of hot dogging

What a disappointing series.

The only silver linings are that Cleveland lost and Sheets/Burger both looked really good.

But with Cleveland struggling, it was a golden opportunity to really put our foot on the gas and open the gap and we missed it.

And what's even more frustrating is that this was a completely winnable series, hell, a sweepable series.

Poop happens. We were fielding 3 of our starting 9.

Move on and keep marching.

Not good enough apparently since ol' drunk ass decided to have Mendick PH for Sheets late

It was disappointing, but typical. The Sox will win the division, but it won't be easy. More tough times are ahead.

Should have won but for a couple of untimely double plays and a defensive lapse by Burger who should have been covering third on a grounder hit right to TA.

Hopefully Moncada is back tomorrow. Not sure about Grandal but the sooner he is back the better as well.

Burger looks like prime  trade bait.  Well done son.
