I see the Sox have 2 days off in one week coming up soon. How many of the regulars will sit a game that week (minus Grandal since he is a catcher)?

Your telling me these replacement players who got cut out of Spring Training aren’t tearing the leather off the balls??? ???

 

They’ve had their moments, but any extended play shows why they aren’t every day players at this level.

Nope, I don't have any inside information on any of the off days for any players.  I agree, all the speculation on a message board about why someone is or isn't playing is as you mentioned armchair bullshit.  I don't believe it is that outlandish to think they are being careful with Robert but I admit it is a complete guess.

Margot has been tough on the Sox this series

If i was a sox player, i wouldnt want to be benched if the soc are playing at the air conditioned Tropicana field.  I would rather be benched while the team is playing at an open-air stadium on a hot sunny day.

Sox score 2 runs to make it 4-6. La Russa is like "nah lets leave our career  minor leaguer out there to give those runs right back. We can't comeback here".
