All three of which may not be on the playoff roster

That would be great if we have better replacements available.  Particularly Goodwin in CF/OF and Mendick as SS backup would be disastrous in the playoffs.

Because LaRussa doesn’t clear his lineup decisions through them

If Lopez can get through 4 innings allowing 2 runs or fewer then he's done his job, and if the offense can't top that then fuck them.

Yes, the Sox need a lefty or switch hitting 2B who can also handle SS. Push Cesar to the Leury Garcia role.

Please leave Mendick off the list. His D sucks.

Good luck figuring this team out. Anything can happen this postseason. Sox could play like they did in the Field of Dreams game and be the darlings of the postseason and win it all or they could pull a Minnesota and bow out right away like the Twins always do.

It'd be nice to win it all since the team won't be taxed physically since it is running away with the division. Guys should be ready to roar in postseason. With the 7th, 8th and 9th locked down on paper, all it will take is 5-6 runs a game to roll.

It’s impossible to judge them when they’re play 60% of their regulars.

I'd rather not play the majority of our 1st round games @ Enron Field but then I remind myself 1st time ever in playoffs 2 years in a row and I think just get there.

The best lineups should be out there now. Players have been rested during the season and there is an off day at the end month and four off days in September. The opportunity for rest will be there. This is a young team; we shouldn't be hearing about fatigue.

LaRussa seems to coddle his players. Is the club serious about doing something this post-season? If they are, get out there and play, wrap up the division as early as possible and play for home field advantage. To hell with rest.

I think the Whitesox organization should be embarrassed to put on such a non-competitive display as in today's game.
