Wouldn't have ever anticipated we'd reach a point where Soxtalk is (rightfully) calling for a player to bunt & Tony is not.

He could finish the night inside the top 10 of innings pitched in the AL. Welcome to starting pitching in 2021. If Cease is taking the ball 30+ times and going ~6 IP per start that's incredibly valuable.

If there's a team that can afford their starters to go 5, it's this one. We've allocated almost 30% of our payroll to the bullpen.

If he could go 6 and give up 3 or less every outing I’d be ecstatic.

Cesar can't get the guy to 3rd once again.  Absolutely worthless

When you need him to hit weak grounders, he can't.

Letting them swing away is bad strategy is this point.  Bunt the runner over and get *something* productive out of their ABs.

Cease is averaging 6.004 IP per start which is full inning above the big league average.

Tony has locked away his small ball playbook.

You're welcome for that Hamilton walk

Didn’t realise he was averaging 6IP.  Just seems like so often his pitches are closing in on 70-80 in under 4.

He really has. The sac bunting has become less and less prevalent. We're still third in the AL in sac bunts, but 18 of the 21 came in the first half. We've had 3 sac bunts in the 2nd half.

Tim and Eloy walking in the same game should not be allowed.

Nice take by Timmy.  No one else I'd rather have up here with bases loaded.

TA walk!  Let’s go!

on literally the same 3-2 pitch

That ball just kept carrying.

Bases clearing double for Robert!  Hell Yeah!

He's so awesome!

107 off the bat!

That ball is probably gone in just about every other park. Triples alley in this stadium is huge.

Imagine how fun a full season of Robert is going to be next year

Imagine if he didn't hurt his hip and was running at 100%. This is post-injury Robert and he's still on pace to become Cuban Mike Trout.

Just turned the game on in the last 20 minutes and haven’t read through the thread.  Am I crazy or are the TV angles in the stadium very steep and, IMO, hard to watch?

A season high in doubles is definitely in play tonight.

Jose absolutely crushed that one too.
