It will never happen, but I would love Polanco at 2nd for the Sox next year.  He's had an incredible year for the Twins.

Polanco's a good hitter, but I feel like his defense would drive most of this board crazy.

How's his defense at 2nd, compared to SS?

At least he can finish 5 without pitch count being an issue (hopefully).

Not good. I don't think his issue is his range, he just makes so many dumb mistakes.

Romy might have had 2 HR's tonight if this game is at The Rate instead of in Texas.

Romy picked the wrong park to hit that ball in.

Some great ABs from Romy tonight

Romy just missed.  The ball just doesn’t carry.

Ok.  Stone can fuck himself for those comments about Tito Landrum and the 83 Sox.

Why does that offend you?

Just looking at some fWAR stuff, and the best base runner for the Sox is not someone I think most would guess.

Cesar is just handing the 2nd base spot to Leury

Cesar Hernandez needs to GTFO

Go away forever Cesar

It actually helps explain why this players fWAR is surprisingly high

I was in favor of the Cesar trade, but him falling off a cliff while Pilkington has continued to dominate isn't ideal whatsoever.

Normally it would be Robert or Engel, but with their injuries I'd guess Yoan.

It's Leury

It’s a joke, but still the Landrum game happened on my 20th birthday.  I’ll never forget that guy or Dzybnski (sp) for his baserunning.

You really wouldn't expect a guy with a sub 100 wRC+ and mediocre defensive value to be worth 2 WAR in 400 PA

I'm starting to wonder if he's even worthy of being on the playoff roster

He's actually closing in on 100! Wow. Every time I look at Leury's stats they're better than I was expecting. Credit to him.

Hernandez option will not be picked up
