Stone makes a very good point about the high slider. It seems like something that power pitchers who pitch up in the zone should have a lot of success throwing.

I thought Giolito had more success with the high change-up last year than the low change-up this year.

His misses aren't even close

Biiiiilly Billy Billy.

Double-Motherfuck-You, fathom.

Biiiilly Biily Billy!!!

Dylan's jersey number is also his average pitch count through 4 innings so maybe next year he should switch to 57 or something like that.

Billy made a great play on that base hit.

He's so masterful!

If Billy Hamilton hadn't gotten injured, Houston would be chasing us for home field advantage.

Come on Dylan, let's have a quick inning in this game

Cease blew him away.  I remember that match-up from following Cease in the minors.

The average start in MLB now is 5.09 innings. I don't care how many pitches Cease throws if he's putting up 0s. 5 innings is enough from him right now.

Off topic but does anyone here actually like Howard Ankin? That commercial with Tim is so cringe

yep, I don't care how long he goes if it's 1 or 2 runs.  Let him become Rich Harden and I'm thrilled.

That depends. If more Howard Ankin commercials = fewer Illinois Lottery commercials with that annoying song, then I like him.

For as much as we've been complaining about too many balls on the ground and not enough in the air, in this ballpark with its fast infield and vast outfield, keeping the ball on the ground might be the way to go.

Eloy is missing so many middle-middle mistakes he was crushing at this time last year

Particularly with no double play possibility.

26 game on-base streak for Yoan. Imagine not appreciating him.

couldn't be me. What a stud.

This would be a 26 game hit streak if I were the official scorer in Oakland.

Yoan got 3 pitches right down the plate that AB

That got changed to a hit, but there was another game where he didn't get one.

Yoan is a natural left handed hitter right? Cause his right handed swing just does not look natural.

I think Balta's point is that he might have not gone 0fer another game had he known he had a 20+ game hitting streak going on.

Every commercial break on MLB tv now features on average 1.5 appearances of Shaq.

Sox play good teams and bad about the same.

It's pretty stupid that they had to use artificial turf in this field cause grass wouldn't grow well due to the direction of the field.
