Perhaps Colas and the White Sox have not finalized all terms of their agreement and then decided where he will begin his professional career within the organization.

An official WSox press release to at least update  fans on the status of this would be appreciated.

  • The White Sox will sign Oscar Colas and Erick Hernandez. There’s some info on Cesar Prieto in here too. I wrote about it today: http://www.futuresox.com/2021/12/13/2021-2022-chicago-white-sox-internat

Maybe the White Sox’s owner isn’t willing to let money be spent on these guys until he knows the status of his big league revenue for the season?

I don’t think the Sox will announce anything till this Colas situation is wrapped up.

It should be this week officially. They just take forever to do everything. Nothing to worry about. Just annoying.

That's good to hear.  We are now 9 days out and no one else has even mentioned the question.

According to MLB's rankings, yes.

If there is anything that the last decade has taught us, its that you can do a lot worse than signing guys for their bloodlines.

The fact that the account asking "source?" is suspended takes the wind out of this, but:

Obviously with no idea what the Sox budget looks like or even if this kid could be on a next season timeline, here is an interesting name.

Looks big and smooth.  Me likey

I wonder why he took so long to come over. I'm suprised he didn't try to come directly over before his time in Japan.
