Oh god, the 1B gets injured diving for a ball in RF.  No one could have seen this coming!

    God help us all

Micker pokes one between 1st & 2nd for an rbi single

They're gonna give Micker a chance to stick if Vaughn's injury goes into the regular season

That won’t go well.  I’m a fan of Adolfo but he will likely have a hard time against tough RHP.

If this was last year, it will be some type of rare avulsion fracture

And will likely have to amputate his hip

For all the fucking idiots that were fine with a Vaughn/Sheets platoon, this is what happens when you ask guys to play out of position.

Don’t be an idiot yourself. Vaughn played there last year too. He is an athlete and is handling the RF position quite well

No chance the K rate would be below 40%. He very clearly needs another couple months, at least, in AAA.

Mendick sac fly. 9-0

He looks like a more natural outfielder than Vaughn or Eloy

Yeah, VV’s problem is certainly not a lack of athleticism

No, he's not and hell no, he's not.

This also might open the door up for more of Gavin Sheets in RF ?

looked like the Sox may have quietly been giving up on that prior to Vaughn's injury

Yep. That’s why he just got hurt on a play that any normal right fielder would’ve made easily.

for the love of god Jerry, just do it

Yes. And sheets hasn’t even played one game in RF this spring training.

It will just be a Leury/Engel platoon in RF

A fringe avg RF'er doesn't even have to dive for that ball.  These fuckin idiots will never learn. They never fucking learn.

He’s favouring his hip quite a bit after getting up.  But he got up and was walking on his own.

Just like Eloy, he has the chance to be an elite bat if he can stay healthy.  Problem is the Sox are putting those guys in a spot where they can get injured.  One of them has to be the DH.

With the Sox luck it will be a torn hip labrum.

Sox do love their righty/righty platoons

Not improbable

Vaughn needs TJ hip surgery. It was just invented.

If it's a short term thing, you're probably right. But expecting Engel to stay healthy and hit for an extended period of time would be a mistake.

Speaking of never learning
