I'm not sure losing games in May to division rivals to make sure players are healthy in October is the best plan.

  • Do DHs not have to run to first?

  • Injuries heal stronger and more effectively with a graded amount of stress. If he only feels it a little bit he should be doing some activities.

Perhaps overly cautious, but it may serve us best in the long run to keep AJ on the bench in any game being played in weather cooler than 65°.  Cool weather and bad hammies just don’t mix (post season excluded, of course).

Because after a week of missed games he needs to go to Charlotte for ABs lol…..this just is an excuse for TLR to give Leury more ABs

Feels like this is going to be a lengthy absence for Yoan.

not exactly the updates you would hope for.

Yep, at least Burger looks cromulent. Maybe bench him versus tough righties but it could be worse there.

I need good news on Lucas next.

It's only April and we're winning. Extra rest for the injured is a luxury we have to give.

Geeze Pollack at 80-85%, Moncada at ??% and Kelly not even at a 'percent'.
I'm not pining for Ye Olden Days when guys would hit the field with broken limbs, but I dunno - the sheer volume of IL required injuries at any one time in 21st Century MLB is just bizarre.
But I did turn 69 a few days ago...

That is also really nice to see.

My question is why is Yoan taking batting practice if he still feels uncomfortable batting lefty?

Now I’m just following you around bothering you, but does it sound like Yoan is close?

If he still feels something probably not close. I'm sure they'll be conservative and wait until he's pain-free both during activity and to palpation.

So to be clear:

Garret Crochet - TJ, Out for Year

Lance Lynn - Knee, 3-4 weeks?

Joe Kelly - Arm, 2-3 weeks?

Lucas Giolito - Oblique, scheduled to start Sunday

Robert - Groin, Another week?

Moncada - Oblique, TBD

Eloy - Hamstring, TBD but possibly end of season.

Other than that, things are good!

Thank you, appreciate your insight and always taking the time to respond.

This team desperately needs some professional at bats mixed in the line up.

Looking forward to having Moncada and Pollock in the lineup together at some point. Hopefully.

Makes you wonder if the Sox even have a strength and conditioning department.

Josh Harrison is dealing with an injury as well.

Makes you wonder if being greedy assholes and waiting too long to give the players a fair deal is backfiring for the owners.

That is 100% true looking at the mess around baseball.
