Two very bad baseball teams split a DH. Sox may ultimately get good. Right now they are boring and very very mediocre to lousy. And the 3B coach should be ashamed of himself. You can't wish a guy home when he has zero chance of making it home. Awful baseball games today. No bats.

Sending the runner home was absolutely the right play

  • What they really need is new ownership and then everything that trickles down because of it

You run on Benintendi every chance you get.  He made a throw earlier this year that didn't even make it to the catcher.  He has a 20 arm but somehow uncorked a good throw there.  It was a good send.

His arm isn’t good but the ball was very shallow. He had the ball way before Harrison even touched third.

They need to do something drastic to wake up the team, send a damn message.  First - fire the hitting coach.

Can we get Rudy Jaramillo out of retirement? lol.

(this is a joke for those that don't get it)

Agree, do we really want to face the Astro's or Yankee's in the playoffs.

Even the Angels the way they are going.  And our offense might not even be able to outscore the Rays with their endless army of 300 arms.

Playoffs?!  Don’t talk about playoffs.  You kidding me?!

No,  this line-up should get you to the playoff.  But I'd rather not get there just to get beat by a fundamental baseball team that prioritizes defense.

Pitching staff in 17 IP gave up 2 R, 17 H, 5 BB, 24

And it's only good enough for a split.

Royals were 1/23 with RISP.

If Grandal is the one tasked with fielding the ball, sure...

I don’t know if the Sox offense will get good.  I know the Sox lineup without Moncada, Eloy or Vaughn is not good.  I just don’t understand how we keep running these lineups out there when we need to get into some kind of rhythm.

Now mumbles is on, he looks like death warmed over.

I don't have the volume on but TLR looks like death incarnate on this post-game press conference

Imagine. Melendez caught both ends of a DH and still managed to hit the key homer.

Anderson and Abreu couldn't be troubled to come off the bench.

No Royals catcher has done that in 27 years.  And a rookie to boot.

He just mumbles and you can’t understand wtf he is saying anyways

Good god you guys aren’t kidding

Death incarnate everlasting and warmed over...three similar versions of Zombiefication.

TLR has a final career ahead of him  in the Evil Dead/Dawn of the Dead sequels/remakes.

Meh on the split. It’s fascinating how people have totally given up on this team already. Reading the comments of some on this board you would never know the Sox were 10-6 this month. You would think they had lost 12 in a row.

The Sox are 21st in BA, 29th in OBP and 23rd in Slugging.

The Sox are 13th in ERA, 24th in WHIP, 28th in BB and 3rd in K.

You know what? This is a bad team.

Those guys aren't good enough to save them.

Did he recognize the best AL hitter for average over the last three seasons cumulatively was sitting on the bench with him?

I can't believe there are worse offensive teams (plural) than us.

The league just sucks.

Have you been watching those 16 games?

Going 6-11 against the AL Central...the very worst of six divisions in baseball, well it's not exactly highly correlated with any level of success unless you are the 83-79 Cardinals World Series team.

Yes, you say things like that a lot.

0-7 Leaury will bat leadoff tomorrow.

Moncada and Vaughn have been back for a week. Has it gotten any better?

Ozzie, saying it's common sense not to send Harrison with Robert up next.
