Meh, team is garbage

Nice. Now start playing like an all star again.

LFG TIMMY!

Gotta be a thrill for him.

Who was the last starter the Sox had in an AS game?

Abreu?

Congrats to TA7

Now let's turn this season around.

He should stay home and rest so he's fresh for the playoffs.

Tim Anderson playing lazy and stupid - what all stars are made of.

Hopefully he doesn't embarass himself doing something baseball stupid.

Hope he throws one into the seats on a routine grounder

Yes Abreu in 2019 I believe. Other than that I can't think of a single position player starter for the Sox this millennium.

Javier Baez started in the ASG, but Abreu and Daniel Vogelbach were the two 1B reserves behind Carlos Santana in the 2019 ASG. Jose did start in 2018.

Great info, thank you for sharing.

One thing I would point out is that Ordonez was with Detroit in 2007. So it looks like the sox had a drought from 1995 until 2018 without having a position player start the AS game.

Twins and Cleveland are doing their part

Kind of bittersweet with his level of play the last 2-3 weeks and the Sox current predicament.

It does go to show his intrinsic marketing value to the franchise, as clearly the most nationally recognizable player on the team over Abreu and Robert.

Always sad to reflect on decades of futility with the White Sox.

Our section spent a lot of time punching thousands of ballots for Carlton Fisk the first half of the year. We would get boxes from the Andy Frain ushers.

We only took breaks to boo Tony every time he left the dugout. He disgusted us so much, we gave up our tickets for 1986, not knowing Hawk would right the world and fire Tony in June.

It's odd that Abreu and Anderson got the largest votes.  Usually the "real" large market player get the popular votes.
