TLR is a genius. If he doesn’t start Leury over Engel, then Leury is the guy inserted in the 3 hole and Engel doesn’t hit in that spot. I can’t believe we have been underestimating his mastermind abil

  • Madrigal gets that easily

  • Keep winning. Fire Tony.

Nothing like blowing your lead because your defense and starting pitching is terrible

Got lucky when an overanxious Kepler popped up, then well crap.

So many of their young players seem to regress or never fulfill their expectations and veterans they acquire always seem to just fall off a cliff.  I don't know the reason but something is terribly wrong with this organization.

Anderson has to get more on that throw.

To use the new buzzword, non-competitive.

It was terrible.

I missed it, what did Mr. All Star do

Robert even had trouble catching that one.

16 pitches already feels like a record for the first inning for sox batters

The willingness to take pitches this half inning is wild. Good baserunnning by Jose

The Will To Wait.

Sox haven't had it collectively this season. Needs to change quick or it's adios, amigos.

Kopech's almost entirely reliant upon his fastballs to get whiffs and that's a difficult way for 99% of starters to pitch

Rushed a throw flat footed and it ended up taking Jose off the bag. Good throw gets Buxton by a step.

Threw flat footed and missed to the right. A good throw had Buxton.

His location has not been there at all after the Arraez AB.

Threw probably 6 straight hangers with the slider

Kopech yet to get a single swing and miss

His swinging strike rate has been alarmingly low for most of the season. Regression is just finally catching up with him

Not a shock, his defense against the Twins and Indians this year has been special

Robert is in between on defense just like hitters get.

He's hesitating because he has been told not to go all out like he was in 2020.

Plus he's getting terrible reads all of a sudden.

It's like you can actually see him thinking out there instead of reacting instinctively.

anderson not an all star short stop by any means

not good on defense right now

hits okay with no power.

Is it crazy to consider an opener for Kopech? The thought would probably break Tony’s old mind so not going to happen, but Kopech consistently struggles in the 1st.

Unless he's going to start throwing a change or slider, he's going to be limited like he got away with as a reliever in short bursts.

Neither of these starters are lasting long tonight.

Nothing says he wouldn’t struggle still in his first inning. He just needs better command and stuff than he’s shown.

Might not be the worst idea, although who do you open with? Not Velasquez or Martin.

Ricky knew how to manage the core. Team would be  over .500 if he was managing this season, even with the injuries.

What a stroke by Reese

Basically the only options are Martin and Lambert.  Everyone would scream if those guys started against the Twins.
