And Nomar Mazara only 75 miles to the south...not too long ago they had too many outfielders in LA.

Sure would be nice to have Alek Thomas as a LHH to play RF about now but the Sox deliberately passed him up due to their relationship with his father in, you guess it, strength and conditioning.

JB Wendelken still hanging in there with DBacks as well.

Luis Gonzalez and Mazara still hanging tough statistically.

I wish San Diego was 75 miles south of LA. :)

I'd rather have Yolmer than Garcia on this team. That's the level Garcia has driven me towards.

When I was watching the Dodgers and Giants a few days ago all the ex Sox were playing, Yermin was in LF, Luis Gonzalez was playing. Trace Thompson was a hero with 2 big hits and a super catch over the

That would have probably decapitated Eloy.

Okay, 90ish?  The one time I had that drive on I-5 during Thanksgiving felt like 2/2.5 hours.

I must have been thinking SD to Tiajuana then.

Or you were going Orange County to San Diego.

It’s warmer than SF, and has that nice cool crisp air at night by the water…

It’s like 104 degrees here… brown hills full of brown weeds. :(

Rodon starting off 3 0 0 1 5

against the Braves in ATL.  Just 38 pitches so far.

2.72 ERA

The list of pitchers better than him right now is very, very small. It'll be fascinating to see what Rodon's next contract looks like if he's able to stay healthy the rest of this season.

There aren't a lot of great pitchers that could be FA's.  Musgrove is #1 currently, but I think Rodon is the one that would be the better bet for one of those Top 6-8 payroll teams that can take on significant contractual risk.

i hope Rodon pitches against us when we play the Giants and I hope he goes 8 IP with 15 strikeouts. I hate Rick Hahn with a passion

July 2-4 for Rodon reunion

Sept 30th/Oct at San Diego

Edited by caulfield12

If they stay on the current schedule we miss Rodon by one game…he would pitch the day after that series…July 4th.

Next start is at home against Detroit, Tuesday June 28th.

Next Monday off day.  And Thursday off day.

He could theoretically pitch Sunday 3rd of July or it would be DeSclafini.

Trayce Thompson back up with the Dodgers...along with Eddie Alvarez on their roster.

Awful news for Daniel Hudson. He was having an excellent season for the Dodgers.

Keuchel pitching for the D’backs today. He’ll probably pitch into the 7th and give up 2 runs.

Keuchel 3 runs in 4 IP vs. Detroit so far…

Cobb/Webb/DeScalifini would be the three against Sox over the weekend..  DeSclafini has been going so bad recently he might be dropped from rotation/IL/spot starter.

Sunday would be regular rest from Rodon…off days on Mon/Thurs.

Keuchel had a pretty typical start.

4.1, 6 hits, 3 bb, 4 runs

7 k but it’s the Tigers

Trayce coming through in the 9th to tie the game.  Good to see him doing well.

Yolmer Sanchez up with Bosox

Mazara at 816 ops, second homer.

Rodon dominating a tepid Tigers' offense.

Yermin 1/4 with a single so far...

Rodon is up to 2nd in fWAR amongst all pitchers after tonight. It's going to be quite a battle to see who wins the NL CY this year.
