August 10, 20223 yr Tatis JR. 2/2 with a double and triple for San Antonio...first hit in any game in 10 1/2 months.
August 10, 20223 yr Luis Gonzalez can really play some defense. No idea why he didn't get more run when that's the biggest weakness of Sox outfielders...Engel has been just above average but not great.

The organization doesn't seem to place any value on defense at all.

Around 135 IP, with at least 8-9 more starts to go.

We traded a pitcher who's still with them. As for Gonzalez, he was a top 12 prospect, at a position of need (both offensively and defensively); letting him go was just kind of typical. August 17, 20223 yr Good job, Kimbrel... That trade hasn't really worked out for either team all that well.

I'm sure Danny Mendick would have suffered a similar fate had he stayed healthy. Both of their batting averages were highly inflated and neither hit the ball very hard.
August 18, 20223 yr Rodon 6 2 1 1 2 11 ND https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2022&month=0&season1=2022&ind=0 Tied with Alcantara at 4.7 fWAR. Gausman 4.4. Verlander 4.3.
August 19, 20223 yr I'll be in attendance when Dallas Keuchel pitches for Round Rock tonight. Not sure if I should just boo him the whole time or just laugh when he gives up runs. Weirdly enough, he hasn't been that bad in AAA.

August 19, 20223 yr Madrigal finally up to nearly a 600 ops with 3/3 so far...over 700ish for career.
August 20, 20223 yr Trayce Thompson: .258/.352/.476 135 wRC+ 1.2 fWAR AJ Pollock: .240/.290/.368 88 wRC+ 0.2 fWAR
August 24, 20223 yr Trayce Thompson 3R HR off Corbin Burnes. Surely it's just a coincidence so many players join the Dodgers and get better or wildly exceed expectations. Why bother trying to hire away coaches or front office staff from them to see if there's anything they do that the Sox can replicate.

Wasn't he with the Tigers to start the year? How the hell do the Dodgers fix broken players in such a short amount of time?

If you can't beat them, replicate what they do to the best of your ability. This doesn't work perfectly because Thompson gets some value from playing CF (8 games played there this year), but there is something on brand (for both orgs) about Trayce having a higher fWAR than the Sox have gotten out of LF + RF this year combined. I mean, they share a Spring Training complex. It can't be that hard to do some baseball espionage.
