The Sox offense is bad in large part because they swing at so many pitches they can't actually hit.

Harrison, Engel, and Gonzalez in the 9th. Yuck.

I'm sure Sheets will pinch hit for someone, but that's still ugly

It's like the suck of the past 5 months came back.

The offensive suck has been there for all but 3 innings this series.  The lack of power is comical.

Holy crap ReyLo has 49 ks to just 8 walks.

Ump's been calling that all game and now he stops?

Zavala please.  Seen enough of Grandal

one of the rare feel good stories this year.

dude umps are so bad.

That should have been strike 3.

I actually like the aggression there from Grandal. Unfortunate that the ball was out of the zone, but I like that he’s trying to do damage there instead of taking a walk. There are situations to be patient and there are situations to be aggressive. I also thought he should have been aggressive in the 4th inning when he took a 2-0 pitch right down the middle. He ended up walking in that at bat, but perhaps we score more runs if he puts a charge into one.

Lopey?

I’ll take a walk off today it seems. Unless we don’t hold them here…

The one time you think he'll take all the way and he swings at the fastball up out of the zone.

Was hoping Id get my bases loaded situation for Sheets. But I don't know if the Stros have a lefty in their BP to face him

If bases loaded......hit sheets....takes slider away......ugh

Ump has called pitches 4 inches lower strikes for Astros

The only problem is that Grandal hasn't really shown the ability to drive the ball. His bat speed isn't all there.

great fucking pitch.

They should put him back in the rotation next year.

I'd love to know what his BP sessions are like. It doesn't seem to me like he's physically capable of driving *anything* right now.

That's a better K/BB rate than Hendriks.
