Fields threw three balls, all behind the line of scrimmage, and ended up with 129 yards and 2 TDs.

This Bagent kid is gonna take Walkers backup job

They need to cut Walker and find a better backup. Walker is trash. This other kid ain’t bad and Peterman is manageable, but man walker looks awful consistently. Practice reports bad - game action it’s everywhere.

Teven Jenkins out for up to 6 weeks due to an unspecified leg injury

Hopefully it doesn’t drag through the season

Braxton Jones is the only healthy OL starter right now.

Could be a long season, with the same characters attempting to block for Fields.

I never understood why they only drafted one OL.

Trey Lance traded to the Cowboys for a fourth rounder.  They belly laughed about Pace being dumb enough to trade up for Mitch, not so funny anymore

I like that move by Cowboys. I would have been interested in Lance too. He’s athletic enough and yes he was hurt but get him into a low pressure situation and see what happens in a year.

Preseason is meaningless.

Also I’m revising my expectations heavily downward after what I just watched.

I would have played Fields more in preseason. He has a lot to learn. With that said - it is preseason, but I saw Fields hold the ball too long.

So Josh Allen can play into 3rd quarter, but Fields can’t even play a half. Mistake to play him so little, he needs reps.

Buffalo's backup is also named Allen.

Josh Allen played one drive

Lions are so underrated. I still think the Vikings will win the division but I'll gladly argue the Lions are the most talented team in the division. Their o-line, defense and Goff is solid enough, can manage a game. Their only downfall will be the "Lions are gonna Lions" if they are not gonna choke down the stretch which they've done for years.

Dan Campbell is a whacky looking coach, but he made some good calls that paid off tonight. Also, the pick six and overall defense against Mahomes was impressive. The Lions could be a team to look out for this year. I worry about them more than Minnesota in the near term.

They have multiple high round picks from past drafts of sucking. Just so much talent on that team. The question will be, can they not do their annual choking and overcome that mental hump and the other is how far Jared Goff can take them? He's a good manager of the game (I'd trust him anyday over Cousins for example) but I just know if he is the type of guy who can win you a super bowl. He might get you there, but winning one? Meh.. but man their o-line and defense is legit.
