Any velocity readings?

Yas smacked that ball, and Benni's was well placed.  I'll forgive the out at home, for now.  Gio also looking good, and Vaughn's dive was nice.

2 outs need a decent secondary lead when the pitcher goes into the wind up and off with the crack of the bat. On the plus side both him and Grandal stinging the ball was good. Kind of surprised Smlyly didnt pitch around Grandal a little bit with the LHH Colas coming up.

Probably not that strategic just getting spring work in... at least early stages on game.

Another oppo somewhat generous single off Rios' glove by Colas.

More bad base running.

More bad baserunning.   Sigh.

Colas needs to learn and study the league more...especially lefties.

Ramos really looks like a mini Robert up there with stance and similar number  just smaller dude.

I believe Moncada had a baserunning blunder earlier today too. Get them out of the way now.

Grifol wants to see mistakes. Colas needs to learn a lot at this level. Grifol needs to see things about his personnel if he is to utilize them in the best possible way.

Colas isn't a speed burner and against a LHP maybe don't be so aggressive but  maybe he was told go on the 1st move.

That’s fine. I just don’t want to see more Joe McEwing and Darryl Boston base running mistakes. And definitely no triple play blunders like that jackass Moncada had last year.

Don't forget Engel's role.

Colas with some typical 2021 Sox defense.

Yes, I rewatched the video. Engel too.

Some bad defense and base running today.

Second error in minutes.

Gonzalez needs to play that better... too hesitant.

Shifting would have prevented that run.

Need Camp Cora to be reinstituted.

Good thing Eric Gonzalez is not our starting (or even backup...or backup backup) SS...

Still if you're not going to hit your weight... well at least be better than bonus baby Yhogurt Yolmer Sanchez.

That's the kind of inning that means Giolito gets pulled one inning earlier and the bottom 1/3rd of the bullpen can get exposed...

I will be in charge of the Gio hot takes.

He actually looked good today. Was missing bats. Would like to see some velo readings.

Ramos has a playable but not spectacular arm.   2B might be a better option, ultimately.   Just not sure if he'd have enough range over there.

Giolito with only 2 strikeouts in the 1st. What a bum.

I would release him before taking him out. Take Earl Weaver's Greyhound to Rochester.

My dad hasn't been able to stop gushing over Ramos after going to a few spring training games. I imagine that will continue.

Moncada better watch out  , Ramos is coming.
