Shaw might be doing enough to steal the last spot in the pen, huh

He seems like a no brainer

Especially with Foster injured and Bummer yet to throw a pitch in a real game.

Shaw going 5 outs today is interesting to me. I think that would have been part of Fosters role if he were healthy & made the team.

When did Brian Shaw join the Sox?

Late February on a minor league deal

I doubt there's anything real about what Alberto is doing, but it still might be enough to be the end of Leury

Probably not but between the defense and  the decent pop he's been showing he looks great. Haseley too. Is he good enough defensively to play CF ?

Last I saw him was early 90s in Boston.

My inclination is to say yes. He played there quite a bit in Charlotte last year and his defensive metrics in CF throughout his big league career have been fine.

Eloy left the game in the second inning. Cramp in his right calf.

Wrong thread.

In a pinch but not on an everyday basis for too long...if he could hit at least 675ish you could tolerate it.  He won't hurt you out there.
