  • You seem to keep insinuating in your posts that LaRussa was not a problem.  He clearly was.  Not the whole problem, but a pretty damn big one.

  • I'm still happy we did the Grandal deal...we targeted the top choice at a position and spent the money.

  • A single tear descends down Yaz's face as he remembers the shift can no longer hurt him.

31 pitches and counting this inning.

Knockout blow there.

Slowed down with a change up and sped up Grandal bat head.

Vince Velasquez is still Vince Velasquez after all

Poor man's Javy Vazquez.

Wow Oscar 3-0 green light

Lordy, Colas wanted that one.

Agreed

It’s insane any team willingly has Velazquez on their roster at this point.  He’s been horrible for years and he also kills your bullpen so it isn’t like he at least eats innings.

Colas late on the fastball even on 3-0.  Coaxes a walk.  That's a big positive.  Keep the line moving.

1st career walk!

Javy had good stuff.

Colas needs to impart his patience unto Luis Robert.

Colas with a walk? That’s yank-worthy

Teams will still be talking themselves into him as a reclamation project when he's 40

Good to see vince still sucks

Colas has been one of the few bright spots early on. He looks like he belongs in the ML.

Benny's steal ended up being a key play. Prevented the Moncada groundout from ending the inning, and led to tacking on these 2-out runs.

Need a reclamation success like Jose Contreras, Martin Perez, Loiaza 2003.

Rodon was it, and Cueto last year.

Of course his bum ass ends the inning.

Clevinger working that slider

Clevinger averaged about 5.2 innings per start last year...fwiw.

Cruz Missile. No relationship to Cuban Tank.

There's yet another defensive lapse.

Bucs have a couple speedsters on their team.
