  • caulfield12 changed the title to All-Star balloting, Burger/Grandal #10 at DH/C

Sox have two tenth place guys listed:

  • DH Burger 57,408
  • C Grandal 52,035

Not in top ten:

  • Vaughn under 34,701
  • Andrus under 38,420
  • Moncada under 67,944
  • Anderson under 43,651
  • Entire OF under 108,982

Burger, Robert Jr. or Santos really the lone three deserving of consideration for the auto pick.

Giolito would be 3rd choice, or Hendriks in particular, if strictly about feel good stories for the media...well, sort of, now that he's out again.

Has to be Burger (best combination of Cinderella story and performance) or Robert IMO.

None of this bothers me anymore, the ASG is a farce and has turned into a popularity contest. Fans shouldn't be allowed to vote or if they are should only be allowed to vote one time, like in a political election. Every team also should not be represented. If you are a bad team, you shouldn't be rewarded with a mediocre player getting picked just to have representation.

It's crazy how Moncada's talent just evaporated. Ball used to explode off his bat.

100% agree. I used to love watching him hit from the left side of the plate. His swing was so sweet.

Nobody should be shocked. This is the annual All-Star game for the best players so far in the first half. Sadly we don't have any obvious no brainers.

The fact is, the Sox are lucky MLB has this long time rule that at least one player must make the All-Star team.

We should be thankful Jerry is so much smarter than most of other owners and his GM has done such a great job putting this winning roster together.
