That was a nice little slider by Middleton.

Eloy not even running

Wasn't that suppose to be one of Pedro's major convictions and promises to the FO and fans that this Sox team would give max effort all the time! LOL!

That would be a great day to pop the cork and celebrate.

Celebrate Yahoo GIF

At least, we found our lead off hitter in Benintendi and hope with Remilliard, and got TA out of the leading spot.  Major disappointments in Robert and Eloy with RISP, and roster difficulties with slider.

Santos and Middleton stepped up today...now let's see Bummer close it out.

I wonder which family will be celebrating father's day with TA...

Proffesional at-bat and then there's Luis Robert

The first two swings by Robert were awful on sliders a foot out of the zone.  Take a pitch to at least look at the pitchers stuff.

His power is not a fluke. He’s a dangerous hitter. He can’t be dangerous if he swings at everything. Put your bias aside and look at what he’s doing objectively.

This does not involve my biases. I am as harsh as anyone here when it comes to calling players out.

His talent is huge and yes he has some major learning and flaws to correct relative to plate discipline. Yet that is exactly what a coaching staff, especially the hitting coach's job is to help him learn that discipline. That is not what is expected on good winning teams. They do not to expect the player to figure it out on their own, when they have Jake's type of talent.

aaron bummer, clutch performer

Damn...Bummer strutting into the dugout.

Eloy speed on 2B....unless they put Romy out there?

There's no coaching that can help anyone if a player swings at almost every pitch. That is on them. He is having severe pitch recognition issues right now.

Jake actually looks physically like Mike Trout.  Need to get his baseball skills closer to Trout IMO, and that needs coaching and not just trust from Pedro.

Nice job by Bummer.
Our track record in extra innings on the road isn’t good, law of averages on our side.

Totally agree! Jake is raw but if someone works with him, he has so much upside!

Frazier had zero chance. Just have him lay one down and move the guy over.

Frazier couldn't touch a bunch of hittable fastballs. Yeesh.

Frazier terrible AB

That is absolutely not true. Good hitting coaches sit down together with a player and watch film of their AB's. They also go to the batting cage to work with them, especially now, when they can use that new batting machine that can throw secondary pitches to help.

Cmon Jake, what was that?

Jake can't handle the slider. That's the truth. Figure it out or the Cinderella story ends with him playing in Mexico with Yermin.

If Burger had even adequate plate discipline he would have been intentionally walked.

Seattle knew they could get him out without throwing a strike.

Really gross from Jake and Frazier.

Guy actually tried to walk Jake. Yuckkk

Zero chance he was ever getting a strike that AB. It's okay to take a walk guys.
