But what’s the point of not trading him? What purpose does he serve pitching on non competitive teams for two more years and then leaving?

You trade him and hope that what you get in return develops and aligns with a more competitive window.

Statement fits the profile of small market habitually losing fanbase.   You assume baseball is so predictable. Let me introduce to  2023 Padres, Mets, Yankees, and the surprise 2023 Cubs.

You can always worship the Royals model. Oh wait we are almost 110% there.

Are you on drugs? The Sox can't beat the goddamn A's.

They are nowhere close to winning. It's 100% a rational take from a fan to have wanted to trade Cease.

Is this your fancy way of saying you think they can be competitive next season?

You fit the profile. I'm not as diseased as other fans.  We assume he will leave and get a big contract. Baseball is not predictable.  See competitive window.  Look how Reinsdorf treated the competitive window.

Only cure is root for another team unlike this one.

LOL! I'm speaking of the loser mentallity fanbase brought to you by Jerry Reinsdorf.  Was it really an different when Veeck owned the team?

I wonder of Dodger fans have the trade everyone syndrome when the fail to make it to the World Series.

The reality is this team will never be competitive because of the one sitting at the top.  Trade, trade, trade.  It's vague.  Getting a haul can be  exchanged with the word fleeced with this organization.

There is no way out unless change is at the top.  Everything else will be meaningless until luck steps in. So far Sox anf luck are extremes.

These are some of the reasons why divorcing myself from this team is becoming more of a reality.

A large market team organization adopting something not much different than the A's.

This is really bad for baseball.  Sports are filled with fans of a team more than the sport.  I fear being one of them.  I live in the area of the Cactus League and spring training facilities.  I fear this organization is destroying my love of baseball.

I am going to the game tonight. What time will parking open?
