Worth more to drive it across to Michigan for the dime a can

Stubhub listed $2 UD tickets & $6 LD tickets for tomorrow. However, they are charging $5.60 + fees on top of the tickets, so $7.60 or $11.60 to get you in the door. Too damn expensive for 2023 White Sox Baseball. :D

Club Seats were a decent deal $25 all in. If this was 2019, would have bought the club seats and enjoyed a twilight DH and an up and coming team.

Chill like Oran Juice Jones.

I like a mostly empty park for a late season game or doubleheader.

9/12/19 - Kansas City 6 White Sox 3 - Paid attendance 13,838 (Ha Ha), Start Time Weather 72 F

9/14/19 - Craft Beer Tasting Event on an off day

9/18/19 Bob-o's Combo & Cheese Fries (Need to stay on topic in terms of the game thread)

9/27/19 - Game ended up being suspended in the fourth inning, up 4-2. Tickets were accepted for a doubleheader the following day. The Friday game was already a scheduled doubleheader, so the Sox and Tigers played 161 games in 2019.

9/28/19 - Alex Colome blew a 2-1 lead in the Top of the ninth, giving up 3. The Sox scored one in the bottom frame to lose 4-3. Below is the resumption of the suspended game.

It got a bit too crowded for the regularly scheduled contest, but made it through the game. 25,552 the announced paid attendance.

Have been to two White Sox home games since, a 3-1 Exhibition Game loss vs. San Diego on March 2, 2020 in an even more meaningless exhibition game than usual (the players were locked out the first 102 games). Was my first Spring Training ever, was always busy at work in the Winter/early Spring. Wonder if Caulfield was there. @caulfield12

7/8/23 - And my latest game, a 3-0 loss to Saint Louis. 26,560 announced paid attendance, would say at least a third backed the Cardinals.

And that's wrap on my last four years as a Sox fan.

18 innings of September baseball between two sub .400 teams. The promotion has to be "S & M Night", doesn't it? Report to the shower on the LF concourse and get chained and whipped.

  • I agree, he needs to take a flying leap.

So isn't this DH actually Royals @ White Sox, in Chicago not KC?

Correct.

I erred in my game thread creation yesterday, and I haven't bothered to correct it.

If I were a rookie, I'd be banished to the Charlotte Knights forum.

The winner of these games will likely advance to the World Series.

Observations:

  • 16 oz beer $13.99, $0.29 more than Club Seat tickets $6 + Fees $7.70 beer beer tax and tip.
  • They aren’t checking 100 or 300 level tickets, but perhaps they will for game two.
  • There are far more workers here than fans, at least currently. Perfect day for baseball.
  • 17 fans in the club level.

Would say about 100 now. Would say 300 + workers.

Sec 500 closed M-Th last two weeks.

Club Level Vendors can’t clock in until 4PM. Jerry & Boyer cutting every penny possible.

Tim would have been safe if he ran to first to lead off the second.

Playing Elvis tells you the Sox are good to go.

You mean to tell me there's an overall effort problem and it's not just the rookies? Huh

Would say there is about 1,500 here for Game Two.

Touki better apologize to Salvi before he joins the team next season.

Not a bad way to use Santos to get him back some confidence in G1.  Who to blame?

This feels like a game I would've been at....maybe I should get in the car.

Touki…good luck in Japan

Is Shaw up yet?

The hitters there are much more disciplined...but he'll probably be penciled into the rotation with Scholtens because they don't have any better or cheaper options.

I mean...we're using a 35 year old Bryan Shaw as heavily as any pitcher in the bullpen not named Santos down the stretch.

The new Jimmy Cordero...well, minus the checkered past.

At what point does Sosa no longer become the "sure thing" for 2B next year when he can't even manage anything resembling even a 600 OPS?

Same with Lee at catcher, I guess...?

What kind of contract is Giolito gonna get with his awful finish to the season?

I'm really thinking we are gonna see Elvis again next season.

5.46 was his ERA, until this outing.

It’s now 54.46.
