He was just waiting on the free agent market to settle down so he could get some deals. Now they pretty much have to sign Bellinger OR Chapman. BOTH would be considered winning the offseason. One will be considered hopefully keeping pace with 2023. They’re also going to have to trade Morel in that case as well, if those two guys were both inked. Both points are ludicrous. Sorry you're butt hurt that I responded. Both teams have lost ground this offseason, both teams have been embarrassing the past several years, and both will be mediocre or worse until they acquire significant reinforcements. Makes the Benintendi deal look even dumber, in retrospect…there’s just no way the Sox competitive window was ever going to extend through 2027, even with Robert also around, too.
