My rose colored glasses have now become less rosey.

Kerr is stepping down as GSW head coach too. Wonder if he would rather coach again or go to a front office gig again. Either way I think he'd be my top choice.....Kerr as head executive/GM and Luke Walton as HC....or maybeeee Kerrs kid but that could get dicey.

  • AKME gonna try to turn in their 100 2nd round picks for a top 3 overall pick like they're at the prize counter at Dave and Busters.

    Buehrle>Wood

I had very low expectations and that is somehow still lower than them.

  • The Kings really saw the Bulls roll out Zach and DeMar for years and said "we'll do that "

How embarrassing for Reinsdorf that his underlings have to consistently fire themselves because they care more about the integrity of his org.

Except AK, he would have stayed forever.

I love the clueless spin. Billy is such a good person, he thought more of the Bulls than himself so he walked away, but last week it was ownership wanted him, and anyone who didn't wasn't right for the job. The team will never have a long run again unless they get sold because good teams with long runs get paid way beyond the luxury tax threshold the Reinsdorfs avoid, even with the best attendance in the league.

This is a great point. Billy didn't write this.

It’s likely going to be Matt Lloyd because he knows everyone in the building, and that’s like the biggest resume’ bullet point for a Reinsdorf hire

After all, you can't waste a year.

ANNND they lost Billy Donovan anyway. Quality work there Bulls.

I think they always knew this was going to happen - but there is a level of respect for Billy D that they wanted to do it that way. Even Reinsdorf's quotes that came out a day or two later kind of implied that. And I think Billy even said he appreciated it because of how it showed that the respect was mutual. But ultimately - I think even Cowley mentioned it, the Bulls expected this to happen all along but I do think they were hoping he would step into the president role (and believe they offered it to him).

In fairness to Lloyd - he is a pretty good candidate and the overall list they are looking at is deep and thorough. We also don't know who else is on the list. Don't want to give them the benefit of the doubt though - as they haven't earned that.

I meannn, he had no connections with AKME did he? They know Kerr so there's that as well.

That's my wonder, if either they wanted him to move up, or he wanted to move up and they wouldn't commit until after the "process"

What's the deal with Budenholzer? I know he had the first round exit his last year with the Bucks but overall isn't he considered a good coach?

No shot Thibs comes back right?
