Thanks Kyyle , does that mean I need to stream it from my phone to the tv? I searched for the app on my tv and I don’t seem to get it. I have a newer tv. Not asking you to be my tv tech just was curious if there was / is a way I can get programming. Currently I stream YouTubetv, Amazon, hbo max , Netflix, and Apple TV. I would consider dropping something if there was a way to get coverage . Anyway thanks again, some sites said fubo has it and some say they don’t .

Can you bluetooth to your TV?  That would be the way from the app.

I could understand if they said "Starting next year, no more antenna" but to take it away 3 months later with zero notice is just a complete disregard for the customers.

So we all have to buy an antenna in March to watch the White Sox only for 3 months later to be told it's not available anymore and we have to get a carrier to watch baseball?  Jerry Reinsdorf can suck

What do you stream with? It's on Roku and Amazon Fire, so maybe just buy one of those devices?

I've had CHSN for just over a week. It's streaming through Apple TV. The live events are only partial screen, about 1/2 to 2/3 size, located in the upper left hand corner. All other content and replays are full screen. I've contacted Customer Support, but so far they have not given me a reason or solution. Their last response was Sunday evening 3-2-25. I'm currently weighing whether $29.99 + taxes is worth it for a picture that is just slightly bigger than my computer screen.

I will try was just going for the best experience via an app for the tv. Being outside of Chicago the first time in my life is definately challenging watching Chicago sports. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have hooked up my laptop hdmi port to my tv (3 years old) and basically used my tv as the main monitor when I wanted to watch a live concert that wasn’t streaming on a widely available app, and it worked just fine.  Just another alternate solution

Definitely.  I have done this as well.

Another problem is when some Smart TV’s don’t have a good library of the latest apps.  May need to purchase an external streaming device like an Onn 4K Pro box from Walmart or an Amazon Firestick.

Can the app be shared in different households?

Are you in market? MLB.tv may be your friend.

I have TVs from 2007 and 2015. I just put the $20 fire stick on them and let er rip

Not sure.

I can pull in CHSN crystal clear in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area...BUT...I have watched the Blackhawks a few times...great picture!  BUT...when the Bulls have been on I get a screen that says something like (paraphrasing) "this event can't be aired".  What?  Are they blacking markets out of the "over the air" channel?  Is this happening to anyone else?  I sure hope it doesn't happen with the Sox games...

Don't you still need to live in the Chicago viewing area to get it on Fubo or the CHSN app?

Yeah, I meant the app and Fubo though. Their streaming services. Not ota.

Shades of 1967 when people were trying to find Channel 32 on UHF. The Sox are like trying to find a rare coin.

Plenty of direct streaming options available for those who want to fork over $20/mo.

I don't know.  I think broadcasting games this year might qualify as torture under the Geneva Conventions.

Honestly wonder if anyone has put a number on the ad revenue lost by this streaming bumblefuck

It has to be a HUGE number.  I am sure they were already looking at a cut back from what they were going to make anyway just because of the crash in MLB rights, but they are missing some huge majority of their Chicago customers at Comcast right now.  They stand a real chance at putting up an Astro's like 0.0 rating this year at some point.

When I get home...watching over the air via antenna.  Had my hopes up to watch via MLB.TV when that other thread stated that there aren't any blackouts impacting Midwest teams...but that doesn't appear to be true.
