  • They've been able to take pitchers in rounds 2+ and turn them into major league starters. Once they're able to do that with hitters, they will have a bona fide minor league development system.

  • I fear you are going to be really disappointed in Munetaka Murakami

I dont think it's quite that good but it's in the Top 10 for sure.

"Two years ago at this time, the White Sox had the 25th-ranked farm system in baseball, then last year they moved up to 20th and last summer, after the trade deadline and draft, they moved up to eighth. And now, they are a Roki Sasaki away from having the top farm system in the game."

Last year $172 million FV.

Credit to Getz or Crochet lol?  Quero trade?  Draft positioning due to abysmal record?

Schultz/Montgomery/Taylor upside?

Average out Law and McDaniel...you get around #7.

BA only had 5 Sox Top 100...with Quero not included.

Pipeline had 6.

So somewhere between #4-6 seems about fair as a composite average.

Obviously it's cool that we're viewed as having a strong farm system, but my main takeaway is that we're ushering in a new Evil Empire in baseball with the Dodgers having more money than god AND the top prospect pool to play with.

And a near monopoly on any Top NPB player coming over from Japan, starting with Murakami the Japanese Babe Ruth at third...really quite easy to now imagine going over to the Dodgers as well.  Robert would likely thrive hitting 7-8-9 with little pressure or expectation to carry the offense.

Everyone around the game is simply salivating over their Top 15 prospects (like Boston Big 3) and intl. signings, they got Hope/Ferris for Busch and their low first rounder in 2024 as well as Emil Morales (2024 intl.) could easily join Jose DePaula Rushing and Hope in the Top 15-30 range a year from now.

Finally, they have a boatload of young pitching depth beyond their Top 7...it's almost an embarrassment of riches.  And more quality relievers than they know what to do with them.

This is probably about fair.  I think they have talent, but they lack the superstar hitters in this system.  They completely lack offense as it is, and while the pitching could be the best in baseball (with cost factored in) if people hit at a high rate, they still lack the middle of the line up guys.

No potential TOR after Top Two guys...then Taylor. Then who is fourth?

Wolkow might STILL be 4th best hitting prospect, either him or Meidroth.

Stagnant progress with Pr.Berroa/Iriarte/Leasure and Nastrini.

Zapata backsliding this year...and perhaps not sticking in CF, either.

Dodgers have at least 4-5 five tool potential guys at SS/CF...White Sox totally lacking there, comparatively.  Braden has four tools (hit for average uncertain), but certainly not blazing speed.

This is heartening, but it will be nice if they can get guys like Wolkow, Bonemer, and Saucke hitting like major leaguers.

Who the hell is SriRacha Saucke?

A former water polo player?

Caleb Bonemer's yet another fringy SS, I know that much...

He needs a nickname.

Hot Saucke is too easy and was Dayan Biciedo's already.

If you want to know how far we have to go, the worst team in baseball history has the 2nd best farm system behind the World Series champions…

How can the Twins not be Central Division favorites with the 6th best system and a bidding superstar in CF Walker Jenkins??

Because they don't have rotation anchor Erick Fedde on their team.

Siberian peashrub (also known as caragana) is a shrub or small tree that can grow up to 18 feet tall. It has yellow flowers in the tubular shape characteristic of plants in the pea family and produces abundant seedpods. It can compete with native shrubs in forest and savanna environments and overtake grassland areas and convert them to shrublands.

saw some of that yesterday at Botanical Gardens...and then a Russian "mermaid" in the aquarium performing almost got her head bit off but a fish, and a boy almost died in the Red Panda Villa due to a banded snake bite lol

Started the bad luck Jinx with Uecker I guess.

Acquiring Vargas instead dropped them to #2.

In a way, technically haha

#61 prospect now per mlb.com above 3 of the Dodgers T100 (and just above Quero).

I don’t think Keaschall was ever a realistic option personally.
