Neither has a professional at-bat correct?  I’m guessing they will be very short lived assignments.  Otherwise, I don’t feel like Saucke should be ahead of either of them.

I don't like Saucke much because to the plate discipline. Maybe Fuller helps him with that and he surprises me.

It’s bad enough they stole away Anderson and Moncada but now they’ve stolen our star longman…

Some interesting notes in here for subscribers, including Getz saying that Shultz seems to be on a 26-27 arrival time frame because his workload has been so light up until now.

Good. Zero reason to waste a year of service on this trashheap of a team.  Call both him and Hagan Smith up in May 2026.

Hagen I think will legitimately be ready in a sooner time frame just because he has a decent history of pitching deep into games in college and an innings base.  Dutch I am glad they are pushing back on because he is still going to have to learn how to be a starter in reality.  Dude has never had to try to harness his stuff for 6 to 7 innings.  It's a learning curve.  Granted I am sure he has the stuff and physical stature to hold up, but he still have to get there both physically and mentally.

Probably the two easiest to sneak through waivers today.

Imagine losing your roster spot and job to Travis Jankowski a year after you were acquired.  Getz is a wizard.

Not sure he could have made worse moves last offseason if he was trying to. It’s why I said he should have been canned after last year.  Evaluating talent is the biggest tool a good GM needs.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Does anyone actually want to see these guys stay with the org?  They suck.

Great trades!

Red Sox at White Sox: Garrett Crochet returns to Chicago (April 11-13)

"Crochet spent parts of four seasons with the White Sox, mostly as a reliever. But his conversion to starter in 2024 after recovery from Tommy John surgery came with a pretty epic breakout season that culminated in an All-Star appearance, 209 strikeouts in 146 innings and an AL Comeback Player of the Year Award -- and then a trade to Boston, where he headlines the rotation for an improved Red Sox team eyeing a return to the postseason. As things stand now, Crochet is in line to pitch in this series. So if he toes the rubber, you can bet the Chicago fans will remember and acknowledge the lefty's dominance last season."

I’m curious to see the moves that they make going forward (starting from this just recent offseason) with more of Getz’s people are in place. There’s Ryan Fuller and there’s the new analysts in the organization

After the Yankees hit 700 homers in two days I'm guessing we'll see a lot more trying.

Would be nice to see hitters find an advantage for once after years of pitching gain

No Express though, that's extra.  Just Pony.

Even Craig James and Eric Dickerson would be disappointed...
