April 6, 20251 yr Cubs are rolling. For as much hate as Ricketts gets, Sox fans have no room to talk. You can say Ricketts doesn’t spend as much as he should, but come on… he’s light years better than Reinsdorf.

The Cubs made almost 100 million on paper last year, are in spitting distance in a weak division and spent the winter crying poor.

Eh it'll definitely age poorly, but most long term contracts do. They badly needed him to stay, and now they have an elite hitter for I'd say the first half of that contract. I do think it would look a lot better if the Jays were in a better place competitively for the next several years, but IMO they're clearly at the bottom of a stacked division for awhile.

Idk, I'm interested in seeing how he shows up looking to Spring Training next year.
April 7, 20251 yr Asst GM in Detroit resigns amid Lewd Photo allegations. Sam Menzin Resigns As Tigers' Assistant GM - MLB Trade Rumors I generally consider myself to be pretty dumb. I've told the odd, ill-advised joke at managers' meetings, and such, probably killing my career with my mouth. Sending dick pics to co-workers is so colossally stupid, I can't even comprehend how stupid or hateful a person has to be to embark on the first, let alone the fifth or sixth unsolicited dick pic to a co-worker.

Cubs are an incredible team at running the bases. 21-23 stealing and I’ve seen probably 4 times already they beat the throw at second for the force out due to big leads. Meanwhile, Sox are 3-5 on the bases.

PCA with a homer, homer and triple tonight so far, only brings him up to .229/.689. The Cubs desperately needed that production from him after the Steele news.
