Speaking of opening day, how is it Kikuchi gets a 21m per year contract but Quintana gets only 4.5 guaranteed. I think I'd just as soon have Perez as Kikuchi. No wonder Angels never get over the hump

Maybe because he was their best (least bad) bat the 2nd half of the year. 

Was not expecting Beni back that quickly. This is good news.  He matches that 2nd half of 2024 in the first half of 2025, and Sox might actually be able to dump the rest of that contract.

I'd wish he'd just sit on the DL this season.
He may be moveable next season; but this season, he's a clogger.

Yeah you took him first in the Rule 5 Draft. Might as well. If he sucks. just move him to the pen.

Yeah I don't see anyway he's not in the rotation. 

Civale imploding in the 5th just gave up a 2 run double to Taylor .Sox up 3 -0 . Vargas single,  Thaiss walk after a dropped foul pop up.Sosa single, WP, Taylor double.

Civale out.Meidroth singles in Taylor, 4-0.

Slater K ,Robert and 10D both pop out.

Robert has cooled off.

Smith pulled after the high duress inning and PC around 60.

Clevinger in...

Colas back in action replaces Slater in RF.

Clevinger pitching .K Tyler Black, Squibber in front of the plate Thaiss throws out Caleb Durbin. Chourio K.

Easy inning for Clevinger. He's probably cemented his place on the 26.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Clevinger be the closer.

 

Also, after starting 0-5, this team is 8-10-1 in spring; 6-6-1 in the last 13. Starting to get my hopes up they won't set a new loss record this year with these random bouts of competence, even in the spring
