Man, you drag someone's kids into it, it's over.

I appreciate how universal the "yup this makes sense" theme is here, in an age where posters here will fight about almost everything. Goes to show what a dbag people think Bernstein is.

I think it's a little different with people just arguing as a opposed to someone getting paid a hefty sum for it.

Get me hammered in a bar and I may just argue that the bears should sign Rogers as a backup.

That could cause a barroom brawl.  🤣

Yep, I was wondering as well until I dove down the Twitter rabbit hole.  What kind of cowardly weasel publicly threatens a guy’s kids on Twitter?

Been in those too. 😆

I’ve been listening to Bernstein for 20 years. I can’t believe what he did last week. It’s why the mute button exists. If you can’t handle shitty assholes on Twitter right now, you need to delete the app. With that being said, 670 lost their two best hosts in last 7 months. They need a major lineup overhaul.

Yeah, once it’s Tweeted, you are done.  It wouldn’t have even mattered if he deleted the tweet as someone would have screenshotted his threat about the guy’s kids.  Really stupid.

But I’m not sure why you can’t believe what he did.  Bernstein has done equally stupid stuff in the past that should have gotten him fired…

Yeah I mean he was never going to harm someone’s kids. It’s the equivalent of me saying that I’d f*** someone’s mother. I’m sure Audacy is thrilled to cut his salary in this climate.

Odds are that dude's kids would have kicked that old man's ass, but yeah, he's all talk.

Ah, I see what you mean.  He didn’t really specify what he was going to do to the guy’s kids (dox?) but it was a threat nonetheless.

True story.  Dude is literally 5’8” and maybe 150 soaking wet.  🤣

Shane Riordan only received a one week suspension for that.  And it was someone’s dead mother.

Guy has always been a prick. Also, clearly an idiot. Good riddance.

I have always thought of Bernstein as an extremely bright guy but totally obnoxious. And sometimes not as smart as he thought he was. Just put him down with other Chicago sports figures with anger management issues like Dan McNeil and Ozzie Guillen.

Mike North...Jay Mariotti...Joe Cowley more an a-hole.

Hard to believe someone so universally hated lasted as long as he did.  What a pile of s%*#.

Man I used to love boers and Bernstein but it moved into actively hating him about 10 years ago. The further he got from having some actual knowledge (bulls beat) the less he could offer except to pose as a smart guy sports person by quoting people he thought smart sports people liked.

cant believe he let this take him down tho lmao. He and Greg Gabriel should start a podcast in hell

Dan Bernstein has always been a mixed bag for me. I didn’t like how he treated callers on Boers and Bernstein, but that seemed to be part of their show. I met Dan in 2016 at a remote and he was kind of a jerk, but I chalked it up to that is just who he is.

Since then, I’ve listened to multiple versions of his show and actually really liked his interviews and his analysis. I don’t really understand what his issue was with this dude last week, but it was really dumb. I bet Bernstein re-emerges in some form with a podcast and long form interviews. I doubt he would Be able to go up the dial though.

The Score’s lineup needs an overhaul. Marshall Harris needs someone to drive that program. The afternoon program is okay, but may need to be separated to bring someone new in, unless that new person starts middays.

It's about time, #1 reason I stopped listening to the score. He was the smartest guy on the radio and was never wrong, just ask him. I don't know how anyone wanted to listen to him and how he lasted as long as he did. Good Riddance!

Bernstein deserved to be fired no doubt, but the guy he was fighting with on Twitter is also a little b****.  He reached out to the FBI over a little fake tough guy talk?  Lol…I fucking hate social media so much.

Before talk radio took off, and long before social media, Chicago had print reporters who actually knew about the sports they were covering. Bill Gleason, Jerome Holtzman and others acted like pros. Stopped listening to the Score a long time ago. There are exceptions when someone says something worth listening to, but those exceptions are few.  Bernstein just fit in with the rest.

Good. The guy was awful tbh. Don't know how he had such a cult following

On one hand that is definitely kind of a b**** move to say, but on the other hand Bernstein who is a pretty big media personality literally threatened his kids.  It’s all weird but I don’t fault him for saying “I don’t f*** around with this bullshit”

I think the following he had were some that liked him but many who did not like him and either hate listened or just had the Score on during the day.

He appealed to the non-athlete who thought they knew more about sports than the people involved as that's the way he was. He refused to have the athletes on as they didn't know enough about their sport particularly baseball. He was one of the first to really push analytics because the smart people knew more about baseball than the scouts and people who played.

He made the average listener feel more important.
