He could still join DeLoach and the fun bunch in AAA

Jones DeLoach Fletcher Maton Cal Mitchell…Knights’ fans must be totally excited about their outfield.

No pitching either, but they get an infield and catching tandem at least.

To be honest, that’s a decent AAAA OF.  You forgot Julks too!

I doubt this guy needs to be snuck anywhere.

He’s super interesting as a AAA lottery ticket, I just hate rostering him because he doesn’t help the major league club right now and the chance of him ever amounting to something before he ages out is incredibly remote.  But his ceiling is super fucking high if he could ever hit just a little.

The scouting report that WE posted said he can basically only hit fastballs, meaning he will never see one in the majors.  Which makes sense considering his 35% strikeout rate.  Plus, he’s already 27 so it’s unlikely he’s just going to figure it out all of a sudden.  This guy is a turd.

Just not at all a fan of not giving Colas a chance this season. Writing has been on the wall, but I just don't like it. He must be a very real clubhouse issue.

I've been in the kid's corner but he stinks. I'd rather try out this guy. If nothing else preventing a few balls from falling into the gaps might help give the young staff some confidence.

We are wasting like 20 roster spots on trash that won't be here in a year or two.  Would I have rather had someone else?  Sure.  But is this better than whatever random thirtywhatever utility guy?  You are damned right.

Yeah but they dfa'd Colas not one of the thirty somethings.

For whatever reason, they can't get these Latin kids out of the organization quick enough, Colas is just the latest.

They aren't the paragons of character and passion the Sox look for, like Mike Clevinger

Makes no sense to add a guy like Jankowski to 40 man while dfa'ing Colas. If they want two defensive specialists who can't hit, why not just go with Jones

The Sox decided a long time ago they didn't like Colas.  They were never going to give him a chance.  Even when things were at their worst last year, they refused to roster him much as humanly possible.

But it's not because he is a Latin guy.

There's no point in having 2 defensive first, no bat OFs in Taylor and Jankowski.

We clearly have issues with latin prospects. Luis admitting (or however it went down) that he didn't even talk to the coaches might just be a Luis thing, but when we seem to fail to develop them time and time again it speaks to an org wide failure and not individual imo.

Ironically we were once at the vanguard of international signings and development with Mags, Tad, Uribe, Alexei, Shingo, El Caballo and others I'm surely missing.
