I have not been too critical of AV , mainly out of respect for Ron and a few others here, but it is starting to look like AV has to go even if by DFA. It's an awful suggestion but at some point enough rope has been given to him.

Holy cow, if those are supposed to be the marathon colors, they should’ve found a designer who wasn’t colorblind. The blue and yellow is actually a nice color scheme in that logo, the jersey looks nothing like it. Also they’re called the Red Sox, not the piss yellow sox, they really need to stop doing these city connect jerseys or whatever. It’s gonna be the Nashville Sox and they’ll still do the “south side” jersey and spell the two words wrong.

Man that last at bat for the walk off single was clobbered. I guess the Sox did OK today, kept it close, battled back and all that sort of stuff.

Dan Hayes has since said on a FutureSox podcast that Keaschul was absolutely not available. Hayes' reporting was that Keaschul's name "was mentioned", not that a done deal was on the table.

Well that clears that up then. Still amazing how they fumbled what ended up being a great signing. Would have just held onto him until offseason if what we got was the actually the best offer but I guess Jerry wanted the cheapest team possible. Sigh.

Personally, I think Hayes is receiving advice from the Twins that it’s better for Keachsall that he doesn’t resent them for making that Fedde deal when he was injured and rehabbing from TJS…the reporting at the time all around baseball was that JR/Getz turned down the deal because they refused to help another Central team.

So then why did the Sox make trades with the Royals???

Why would a team that was in “win now” mode like Minnesota last year not do the trade unless the White Sox had asked for W.Jenkins?

Fedde was a Top 20 pitcher in all of baseball at the time of the trade and had a great contract as well.

So the Twins decided to put their faith in Chris Paddack instead lol?

Hayes’ reporting amusingly flip flopped from last August 2nd.
