Man I just can't put Sosa in that group. He's at almost the same numbers he finished last year at (after being hot for the last month of 2024 or so), so it's not like that hot streak carried over. He also seems to make a completely boneheaded play once every other game. I'd rather play him than Vaughn or any of the other complete stiffs on the roster, but he's the odd man out once Tauchman, Slater and Rojas are back.

There's the Sox  bWar leaders. If Sosa was that terrible he wouldn't have a positive War.

Sometimes we see what we want to see or listen to the people who scream the loudest even when they are wrong.

Little bit better lineup. No Palacios or Amaya.

Still Vaughn in there batting 5th. He's got even more negative bWar than Amaya.

When you can't run, field or hit the negative WAR accumulates fast.

He almost cancels out our top 2 bWar guys. Robert and Thaiss combined are 1.5. Vaughn is -1.3 .

That why I said a little 😄

I am really curious what they do with Lee once he is back. Quero is obviously not going anywhere, but Thaiss has been fine back there. Do you trade Lee for a low level guy?

Since they seem to hate Elko anyway, they can have Thaiss DH more and carry 3 catchers.

Going by these numbers...Robert heading for a 4.5 bWAR would never come through in the game threads.

Huge disparity between b and fWAR numbers with his game.

Brooks Baldwin is looked at quite differently as well.  Neutral fWAR...here quite negative.

Think of how much of a hot streak Vaughn would need just to erase his -1.3.  It’s basically impossible for him to be valuable

He'll have his little "hot month" in June to get back to around a 220/250/380 line and he'll only be -.4 WAR instead of -1.3 and hopefully that that point he'll finally be cut.

Wrong to want to see more Thaiss?

He's undoubtedly more valuable than Lee...who benefits here from being Rh somewhat but would prefer Thaiss' veteran leadership.
