After 48 games, this team has the exact same record (14-34) as last year’s record setting team. They ARE that bad.

  • I never expected Luis Robert to turn into Billy Hamilton, but here we are.

He should be swinging for the fences in that situation

Maybe Vaughn would be better up taking Par 3 golf with wide fairways...even his worm burners would eventually get to the greens.

Don't you mean warning track?

Pretty sure the White Sox are right up there in the running for most boring team in MLB.  It's a tight battle with the Marlins at this point.  Other than the Luis Robert saga and Shane Smith, there's not much of note.

Lazy ass team

They are starting to check out now. The defense is starting to really be terrible.

Now Vargas finally gets his offensive game going and starts to show his warts on the other side of the ball...what was actually carrying him for the first month of the season.

huh don't get that

regardless of outcome that was a great throw by Thaiss

Been playing awful baseball since Venable punted that Reds game.  Isn’t this around the time last year they imploded?

wow caught a break, good challenge.

Good challenge!

And then we have "off to the races" once again on the basepaths...Cubs' exposed any pretense of a defense against that, earlier in the season Thaiss and then Quero much better at throwing out runners.

Great throw by Thaiss.

Sometimes the catcher/s can actually out-throw the White Sox general terribleness at holding runners effectively.

I'm occasionally convinced some folks are watching an entirely different game.

I wonder who gets traded first, him or Lee?

Haha Slater

Great question

Somehow...when Sox players go to other teams, they usually thrive.

For example, the SFG are brilliant at making something of role players and cast offs.

When those players come from other teams to Chicago....it's just, PFFFTTTT.  Total collapse.

jesus man we suck.

Thaiss has a LOT more value to any contending team...

Realistically, what other teams would feel that Lee drastically improves their catching situation?

Because they use them accordingly. You don’t rush Slater back to face Castillo.

What?

I love that tag by Rojas.  Let the ball travel into the runner. He caught it on Taveras' back. You don't lose precious micro seconds catching it then moving your arm/hand to the runner. Same thing applies on plays at the plate . Catch it as close to the plate or runner as possible.
