Regardless, they staff based on what their client, in this case the Sox, are willing to pay on a given night. 9 hours ago, WhiteSox2023 said:He’s doing it wrong. The proper strategy is to cut-rate your ticket prices and collect that bounty on parking, beer, and concessions! No, you cut concessions and then people spend more on merch. They're doing it right.

That said...if you are looking for an urban feel (not saying you are) I wonder how much green space can be created and still max out on what the developers will be looking for (profits).I enjoy thinking about a future ballpark and I enjoy looking at past ballparks and what makes them unique. Good topic of conversation! On 5/4/2026 at 4:24 PM, JoeC said:Urban greenspace could be achieved by having a convertible stadium-adjacent ballyard that is slightly larger than the Fundamentals deck.On game days it gets gated off for paid admission only.On non-game days, it is an open greenspace that can complement neighboring / adjacent cafes and restaurants. It would be interesting to see how they could integrate some green space in to the development on either side of the river and tie that in to the riverwalk. I'd love to see actual renderings of what they envision for the ballpark and the entire development, but I expect those are a long way off. Edited May 6May 6 by 77 Hitmen

As cheap and lame as "McDonald's Park" sounds, quite frankly I'm surprised their name hasn't been used yet in a stadium naming rights deal. The home of the L.A. Lakers is Crypto.com Arena. IMO, that sounds much worse than McDonald's Park. I don't think lower case L "loanDepot Park" in Miami is that great of a name either.
May 13May 13 Americans love McDonalds. Thats why its so successful, and the coffee is really good. The people online who act so superior probably go there but will never admit it. Edited May 13May 13 by Green Line

It’s designed to be highly addictive. I don’t typically consider myself to be all sanctimonious, but I find that gross. I’ll just hang up and listen at this point so this doesn’t become 4 pages of McDonalds talk.

Also, their dining areas and restrooms are always reliably clean. Yeah, their burgers are subpar compared to other burger places, but they obviously do well with pricing and customer service. If we're going to be outraged at what they sell, last I heard they weren't the only establishment in America that sells burgers, fries, and soft drinks. Heck, you can buy such junk food at any MLB stadium.
May 13May 13 https://www.forbes.com/lists/most-trusted-companies/Anyone imagine that we wouldn't also eviscerate any of these ten corporations if they won the stadium naming rights?Whole Foods would get torn to shreds lol. Edited May 13May 13 by caulfield12

But you bit.
