It seems that Venable likes the "high leverage reliever" concept. Taylor faced the more difficult part of the order. Last time they tried to have him do multiple innings it didn't go so well.

Not bad by Leasure. For where this team is, I'll take winning 1 of 3 from the hottest team in baseball and ending their winning streak. Would've been nice to score more than 7 runs in 3 games, but that's a lot of pitchers with ERAs in the 2s and 3s to face in a series.

Hey, they won a 1 run game!!

A season split where they won the road series and lost the home series is surprising given the splits for the Sox this season, but I'll take it.

Great job salvaging the series. Houser needs to be gone before his arm explodes.

Leasure looked like a closer that inning. Didn't look scared

This Houser pick up is absolutely incredible. They are actually going to turn him into something when any team could have just had him.

I'm looking at the game highlights and it looked like he threw up in the dugout. I'm surprised nobody mentioned it

 

Houser throwing 7 innings in under 100 pitches, flummoxing the hottest team in MLB, is mighty impressive.

Vaughn becoming a hero in Milwaukee

Houser is a perfect 4-0 at home with just 2 ER in 26 innings (0.69 ERA, nice).

Kind of insane for a guy without big strikeout stuff.

Not really, have no idea what will happen long term but getting out of the crapfest organization has got to help a player at the very least mentally.
