Antonacci 2-3 with 2 doubles. He is currently hitting .455 in AA. I think he’s eventually a big leaguer. Jury is out on what his position will be.

I Wish they’d start giving him some run out on the OF. System is so ridiculously loaded with IFers I’d like to see them play him out in LF. The bat looks like it might be for real.

Barons walk it off for 10 in a row. Would be fun for them to have a go at defending their title. Gowens pitched a solid 6 scoreless.

Knights have been running into bullpen trouble lately, giving up crooked numbers late in games.

Braden is 5-11 with 2 doubles, 4BB, and 2K in 4 games since the break. A couple hot weeks and maybe he finishes in Bham.

Feels like he could be the answer at 2B at some point next year.  I just don’t think Sosa is long for this team and it kinda feels like they want to see if Meidroth can stick at SS long-term to increase his value (at least until Carlson or maybe Bonemer are ready for a shot).  A middle infield combo of Meidroth & Antonacci would be extremely unique and would serve as a fascinating pair of table setters, but would put even more pressure on Getz to find significant power in the corners.

Colson is second in OPS+ to Tauchman.

Benintendi and Slater only two over 100...just barely.

Team average 82

Quero and Teel almost identical at 96/94, Meidroth 83, Vargas 97, Sosa 93, Montgomery 107, Baldwin 70, Elko 55

Earlier this year I thought Gowens might be on a fast-ish track to the majors. Then he started to fall off. Maybe he's getting straightened out.

A few weeks ago, I thought Jacob Gonzalez would imminently be promoted to AAA but he's really fallen off again. If he does go to Charlotte, he's got the profile of a guy I'll have to watch the Statcast metrics on closely because he might hit a bunch of those Charlotte-only cheap homers.

Gowens was pretty old for his levels where he was dominating.  I know he was basically "average" for age, but that is skewed by guys who aren't very good and stuck.  The guys who are "good" are usually young for their level.
